Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

I looked through all of the ads posted and I didn't see any deals on Tag Jr books. Did I miss them?
There are several - check toys r us and kmart

kmart has a toy story one

at BFads.net you can search all the ads...I use this when I am looking for something specific and it pulls up all the posted specials!!

I was in Meijer today and the girl working told me she saw their Thanksgiving Day and Saturday ad today and on one of those days - she wasn't sure which - the Wii Bundle was going to be $149.

She said the ad should go public today sometime
That's interesting. I thought that Nintendo did not allow stores to discount their consoles. They are all pretty much price-fixed except for when the store offers a gift card with purchase or bundles it with extra games and/or accessories.

I am just reporting what I was told...

Best Buy has it on sale for either 169 or 179 on BF as well...I guess they changed their policy

Thanks, I must have missed it in the TRU ad. We don't have a kmart here. I will go look at TRU again!

I've never done Black Friday before and have a couple of questions. I saw the Target add for the Westinghouse 40" 60HZ 1080P LCD HDTV - $298.00. The store opens at 4am, how early do I need to show up to get one? How does it work, is there a mad dash, do they hand out tickets? I also read that some stuff goes on sale online on Thanksgiving, I'm assuming I have to actually show up at the store to get the TV correct?

Thanks for any advise :thanks: :disrocks:

Sorry if this has been answered before BUT can I get the items doorbusters from walmart.com that morning???

I think it depends on your area. I've heard of people being about to get deals when they show up about 1-2 hours before the doors open.
Around here... people will start lining up for a good deal at about 2pm thursday.
Best Buy will have the longest line by midnight. They bring tents, uhauls, grills, portable heaters.

I was one of the suckers outside our Old Navy last year. I got there 3.5 hours early. And I was still one of the last to get the Rockband game they were giving away (I think they had 70 of them)

Does anyone know if IKEA is leaked before Black Friday? Also.. so much buzz about Target and Walmart, hopefully no one will be at Sears so I can get my tv!! LOL!

I tried searching for the KMart ad that news stories talk about being released, but I can't find anything. Suggestions?

I like to know that also. I would like to buy the Itouch but do not want to risk getting trampled going into that store to buy it on BF.

Noone can do this -- most of Target's "doorbusters" which are usually on special, temporary displays and pallets along the "racetrack" floor, are normally set-up after the store closes for business on the Wednesday evening prior to Thanksgiving.

Same for anything else that is uniquely geared to Black Friday (or, in Target-speak, "The 2-Day Sale").

As for my local Target, you are correct about the "doorbusters"... But with the 2-day sale stuff they will allow you to get price adjustments. I bought the Barbie house thingy last year on Wednesday night before BF, and yes, they had it in the back, and yes, they told me I couldn't get a price adjustment on it, but you know what? It came up the BF sale price at the register anyways, so no added stress (at least for that item!) :thumbsup2 We got a TON of stuff at Target that way (no "doorbuster") and it worked out just fine. Again, this was for my local Target. :goodvibes

I don't know how I missed that tv when I looked the ad over...several times! :rotfl: I have never gone to Target for BF...ordering online would be great, if possible!

I actually think that I'll be shopping on THANKSGIVING this year as well as BF. I have never done that before.... Old Navy here I come. :confused3
