Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

I like to know that also. I would like to buy the Itouch but do not want to risk getting trampled going into that store to buy it on BF.

I was looking at Wal-Mart's Facebook page and it said it will be releasing information about their online sales soon. So I guess we will wait and see! :)

I was in Meijer today and the girl working told me she saw their Thanksgiving Day and Saturday ad today and on one of those days - she wasn't sure which - the Wii Bundle was going to be $149.

She said the ad should go public today sometime

I just looked up the Black Friday ad and they have the Wii for $199 Mario bundle with $50 off custom coupon for your next shopping trip.

Oh good. And since we will be going to the same store ;) I should be good to go. We hadn't really planned on going there last year so we weren't at all prepared, but I really want those DS games this year!

I will say, last year at WalMart it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy easier to get the big ticket electronics, than the video games and movies!!

Just a question -- do people think there will still be separate Cyber Monday deals? Some of the items I need/want are smaller and in order to have a better selection, I'm better off ordering online.

Does anyone have intelligence about Cyber Monday or where I could find it?

TIA!
Maria :upsidedow

So I just realized that some of the ON deals are SATURDAY ONLY! GAH!! :headache:

Kmart is out!!!!

Still not a winner with me. I think target is still going to be my first stop then Walmart.

Couple good things there...I am thinking there will be a lot of bouncing for me this year.

My current plans are TRU before 10, Walmart for DvDs, Target for TV and stand, Walmart for HD cable, and then prob hit up K-Mart to see if they still have my work shoes and maybe some DvDs.

At least I get to skip Best Buy this year. Last year wasn't too bad but I went fairly late and was still able to get the surround sound that I wanted. BB this year is huge disappoint.

ANyone hear details about the $79 netbook at Toys R Us? I'm wondering if it would be sufficient for my 65 year old mother who just wants to do facebook and email??

Here's a review I found for the Sylvania netbook whichg I believe is the one they're advertising: http://www.techrevu.com/php/Review-id.php?id=4766

UGH! If the TRU netbook is Sylvania, I will definitely NOT be in line for that. So far, Radio Shack and Best Buy have better options.

Does anyone know if Wal-Mart will price match on Thanksgiving? Meijer has the Wii Fit again for $50, but it was such a disaster last year that I don't want to go to Meijers.

TIA

No. A million times NO! My brother and my computer shopping advisor both say no!!!

Actually, my brother just gave me one of those "I can't believe you're asking me such a stupid question" looks :rotfl2:

Invest the time and money, go to Walmart and get the eMachines $198 netbook or notebook (I forget exactly). The 'operating' system for that $79 netbook is worthless.

So you were advised that the $198 eMachines was a good buy? I'm online trying to research these computers right now, but I'm lost!!!!!!!!!!! I know the Acer is the best, but is it that much better? This is making me crazy!:scared1:

I've never done Black Friday before and have a couple of questions. I saw the Target add for the Westinghouse 40" 60HZ 1080P LCD HDTV - $298.00. The store opens at 4am, how early do I need to show up to get one? How does it work, is there a mad dash, do they hand out tickets? I also read that some stuff goes on sale online on Thanksgiving, I'm assuming I have to actually show up at the store to get the TV correct?

Thanks for any advise :thanks: :disrocks:

I would say that you need to arrive at 1am and be ready to wait. I am not sure if they hand out tickets and such as I have never made a BF dash to target. Good luck!
:offtopic: but every time I see :thanks:, I keep waiting for the $dollar$ Bills to fall:confused3:rotfl: yeah, I know:guilty:

I've already gotten a few deals at better than Black Friday prices.

Walmart has a Wii Bundle that is cheaper, and comes with more stuff available now that is cheaper than BF. BF prices are not always the best.

I go and buy everything I need to make sure I get it. If I get better deals online or on BF, I rebuy and return later. A little more work but I get the deals and everyone gets what they want.

I know most people were looking for electronics, but I was glad to finally see the Joann's ad!
http://www.black-friday.net/joann-ad-scan.html#

Naturally, some of the stuff I bought on Sat will be half the price next weekend. Sigh....
Thanks! I remember when the big BF draw was the cotton flannel for 99 cents a yard!

On FB, I saw that tomorrow WM is having this Acer netbook for $179.00 online only

and

this LG blu ray player for $65.00 online only.

I don't know how either one of them review. :confused3

Anyone have any thoughts about a laptop that would be good for DS to take to college next fall and be good for World of Warcraft? OJ got spilled on ours and fried it. Hoping for a black friday deal to soften the blow to the budget on that one. Can't afford a true gaming laptop now. Wondering if something might work that's on sale?
