Walmart.com has the acer aspire netbook for $178 + free shipping available NOW. A few colors are available. I just posted a thread about it.

A laptop/netbook was on my dd11's list so this will be perfect. This is her first year in middle school and a few times a week she has reports to do on the computer. I got her the aquamarine.

As I stated in my other thread, I read on another board that Target will also offer this in next week's circular for a dollar more but i do not know if the info is reliable.

So you were advised that the $198 eMachines was a good buy? I'm online trying to research these computers right now, but I'm lost!!!!!!!!!!! I know the Acer is the best, but is it that much better? This is making me crazy!

I have the Emachines laptop walmart had last year and it is great. It does everything I need it too. I'm not a gamer so if thats what you need it for idk. Day to day use has been great! I believe the one this year is the same. Emachines, Acer and Gateway are all made by the same company.

ANyone hear details about the $79 netbook at Toys R Us? I'm wondering if it would be sufficient for my 65 year old mother who just wants to do facebook and email??

I wouldn't get anyone a 7" netbook, thats tiny. If you aren't interested in the one at Walmart, Target is supposedly having this one on sale for $179 starting Sunday. There was a Target ad scan of next weeks sales on SD.

UGH! If the TRU netbook is Sylvania, I will definitely NOT be in line for that. So far, Radio Shack and Best Buy have better options.

Does anyone know if Wal-Mart will price match on Thanksgiving? Meijer has the Wii Fit again for $50, but it was such a disaster last year that I don't want to go to Meijers.

The Emachine should work just fine for you then. Last year our walmart gave out tickets and then you had to stay in line until 5 to purchase. I guess atleast it was warm! Just kinda sucked if you needed to get other things. Luckily I had DD with me to grab some of the other stuff I wanted.

Much better than the Sunbeam, or whatever CVS is going to have. Not great, but not bad. Not that either of my sources speaks highly of eMachines, but that's what I had before this six year old Dell; both desktops, but I feel I got my money's worth out of both computers.

For those of you who have access to military bases, AAFES (a.k.a. the BX/PX) will be opening their CONUS main exchange stores at 4 a.m. (and offering a Dell netbook for well-under $200).

Couple good things there...I am thinking there will be a lot of bouncing for me this year.

My current plans are TRU before 10, Walmart for DvDs, Target for TV and stand, Walmart for HD cable, and then prob hit up K-Mart to see if they still have my work shoes and maybe some DvDs.

For those of you needing HDMI cables to go with your BF purchases, don't fool with an extra trip to the store. Instead, go to monoprice.com , today -- they sell high quality cables of all types/sizes for pennies on the dollar!

Does the price automatically change on items in your cart if Amazon is matching another store's BF price? I want to get a bunch of items from Amazon on BF also but I don't know if you have to add them to your cart at the discounted price level . . . . . . Anyone know?

If the price changes it will reflect it in your cart. If you go to your cart, you will get a notice that it has changed (even if its just a few cents higher or lower). I get notices about things I "saved for later" a year ago
