Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

Me too and I hope this is a trend. I would love it. I know Old Navy today is giving out a 50% off coats coupon for next week if you were one of the first million friends they had.
I think I should just try to friend request all my favorite stores just in case :yay:

Oh, that's a good idea! I think I'll do that too! :cool1: It's worth a shot!

Toys R Us adds benefits to rewards program
Published: Wednesday, 27 Oct 2010 | 11:36 AM ET

WAYNE, N.J. - Toys R Us is the latest retailer to increase benefits related to its customer loyalty program ahead of the holidays to entice shoppers into their stores.

The largest independent U.S. toy seller said Wednesday it will offer rewards program members 10 percent back in store credit on purchases in stores and online.

The toy seller had previously offered members $5 back for $150 in purchases. The new deal will run beginning Sunday through Christmas Eve.

Members of the program also get access to member shopping events and are notified first when shipments of popular items arrive.

The cap is $50 in store credit for a $500 purchase. Joining the rewards program is free.

As shoppers remain cautious due to high unemployment and a wavering economy, other retailers have recently increased rewards program offerings as well.

Discounter Target Corp. said earlier this month it will offer 5 percent off most products when shoppers use a Target card. The program replaced its existing program under which card users got an initial 10 percent off coupon and then earned 10-percent off depending on how much they shopped.

And bookseller Borders Inc. recently revamped its rewards program, introducing a paid option that offers more benefits than the free program.

Privately-held Toys R Us, based in Wayne, N.J., has been aiming to gain market share this holiday, opening 600 temporary stores in malls and 10 temporary stores under its FAO Schwarz brand. It is hiring about 45,000 employees to help with the holiday season, doubling its U.S. work force.

You guys have me excited for Black Friday!!! I think this year, we are going to go all out and shop till we drop!! The DH is even going to take the day off!!

I am so excited for the holiday season and black friday! :) I am really hoping to find a keurig machine for my parents. I want one that has the reservoir on the side. Right now they are going for 139.99. I want it for 100 or less. I wanted it last year and the lowest price I found was 139.99. Here's to hoping I can get a door buster sale!

I'll be up and out the door by 2:30...last year old navy opened up at 3am if I remember correctly and I was there buying $15 adult jeans and $5 pull overs.

This is from one of the Black Friday forums:

Target announced that they will be extending their Black Friday sale this year. Instead of starting online on Thanksgiving Day, they will be offering a separate 4-day sale beginning on Sunday, November 21 through the Wednesday before Black Friday which will feature more than 170 items. Then, on a Thanksgiving Day, Target.com will host an online-exclusive one-day sale with deals not found in their Black Friday ad. The actual Black Friday sale will then be held on Friday and Saturday with special doorbuster deals. Also, on Black Friday, if you spend $100 before 10am, Target.com will give you a free $10 gift card.

And from Lowe's facebook page:
90% off coupons? First glimpse of Lowe's Black Friday values? Yes! It will be VERY good to be a Lowe's fan next weekend. Click "share" below this post to share it on your wall. That way your friends can join the party, too!
So make sure you "friend" or "like" Lowe's before next weekend on Facebook!:thumbsup2

Anyone seen or heard from Tennia lately? I just haven't seen her on here in a while and was a little worried. :confused3

Black Friday is always good in electronics. I've got a discount last last year for almost $350 for an LCD TV.

My Nephew works for a newspaper in AZ and I thought to ask him if they are going to print or if he sees the flyers but I also don't want him to get in any trouble. Waiting is half the fun!

Anyone know if you can still view 2009s ads anywhere...
Dh claims he is going to get up and go with me this year and wanted to see what last years sales were like to get an idea for this year...
Really just looking for
Walmart
Target
Toys R Us
Kmart

gottadeal.com still has prior year ad's on their website I believe.

Gotta deal has basic text pages of last years sale items, no pictures, or info which makes it tough but they are there.

I want to buy a laptop this year as the big family gift, what price is a good black friday deal and where are they usually offered? In the past I have only been buying little kids toys for my boys and family.I have meet some wonderful people waiting on line to get into the stores in the middle of the night. My friends think I,m crazy but I love it,their kids love me because I get really great gifts and my budget is happy because I saved so much by giving up one night of sleep! The only thing is that I'm doing Thanksgiving dinner at my house so how am I going to get everyone to leave early so I can go get a good spot on line:lmao:

Khols is having another 30% off starting 11/10 with Kohls cash back too. They have the Keurig and the Tassimo. Should bring the Keurig (Platinum) down to about $108 or so:

The Tassimo (TAS65) would be about $70:
