Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

Thanks! This is making me really work hard to stick to my boycot of Sears owned companies. I don't want to give them a penny of my hard earned money even if it costs me more money. I know, I know, not really a good budget decision, but I just can't bring myself to feed that monster. It does sound like a great deal for those who do shop there.
Last Sunday, Kmart offered another 10% off for one day for reward participants. I got a red Wii for an additional $20 off plus the $50 reward 'credit'.

Just checked out the Target ad...I now remember I am looking for electric blankets for the kids but I didn't see any on sale in that ad. I am also still looking for a 500GB netbook. I doubt I will see that in the BF ads.

Ugh. What is up with the ToysRUse deals? Are the stores going to be open all night? Open at 10pm Thursday and stay open all through Friday, I guess? Maybe if I go at 4am I can get the 10 am deals and the 5 am deals?

Disappointment, if genuine and generally widespread, would be very interesting. It is a very strong indicator of how strong the recovery has been, if retailers are keeping prices high for the single most competitive selling day of the year.

Well it looks like I"ll be going to Target, ds wants the Xbox and with the 2 giftcards and my 5% off w/ my new TargetDebit card I guess getting up early and waiting in the cold is worth $70! Only downside is I won't be in town where I have tons of Targets I'll be in lil' ol' Owensboro Ky w/ only one NON SuperTarget :headache:

Question though I don't usually have anything in particular I want on BlackFriday so I've rarely been one to wait in line hour or so before opening. Seem like in years past I always remember Target having deals that lasted for 2 days, not DOorbusters? And you could always get rainchecks too? Guess they changed it up this year? Oh SOmeone make me feel better, if I get there at 3 am will I more than likely get my item

Don't know if its a good deal (I haven't priced them lately) but JC Penney's has some in their ad for 29.99.

so far, Target is the only ad that has me excited enough to stand in line at 4am. Even then, I'm not sure...too early. There are a few odds and ends on other ads like Toy R Us, but the savings doesn't justify my trouble.

Does anyone know if Target puts any of their door busters online? I would much rather take my chances that way.

Has anyone seen deals on the DSi XL? I have found games that will be on sale on BF but not the units themselves. I am hoping that Wal-Mart will but am now afraid that they won't. Just the regular size units seem to be reduced.:confused3

Last year Walmart had electric blankets.. hopefully they will again this year!

Gottadeal posted a scrambled front page of the walmart ad. I think it's down now. He'll never post the whole thing early cause he's scared of the lawyers. However, people have been unscrambling.
Here's some guesses by brentd on bfads.net. I just randomly found it in a thread so I don't know how accurate it is, but seems to line up with what others are thinking.

The 42" 1080P, 60hz, LCD TV is an Emerson at $398. They don't carry an Emerson 42" currently, so no comparable model on their site now.

The iPod Touch is 8GB and is $225 with a $50 GC.

32" LCD, 720P, 60hz TV is $198 and looks to me to be Emerson because of the logo and what I can see of the name. Comparable model LC320EM1
15.6", 250GB HD, 2GB RAM, CD-DVD burner laptop with Intel Celeron processor for $198 is an eMachines. WM doesn't carry anything but a netbook from eMachines, so no model to compare to.

Magnavox Wi-fi Bluray Disc Player at $69 plus a $10 credit for Vudu. Bound to be this model: MBP5130/F7

There's a lot of buzz now because we know people have the ad in hand. Now we're just waiting for a leak. It won't be on any of the major sites when it leaks, so our best chances of seeing it will be people PMing each other.

Anyone that has seen the Toys R Us ad, is there a Ripstik skateboard in there for the doorbusters? I need one and am trying to decide if I should just get it now, and get the $10 giftcard, ($75 or more purchase, free $10 giftcard) then go back and finish my shopping on another day.... and skip the craziness of BF all together! Last year the kids & I went shopping around 8am, had a great time, brunch around 11am and went home for the day! It was great.... but I got alot of online deals last year too, so no need to get up at before-crack-of-dawn times to freeze for the deal....

I saw the link to the TRU ad but it won't let me view it now. :confused3

Thanks for your help!

What's the best TV deal so far? I'm looking for a smaller bedroom sized one.

Imo the "best" so far is the 40" from Target. However looks like the cheapest might just be that $198 32" from Walmart.

I bought one last year and almost never use it but for some reason I have no sound on one channel. Probably not a huge deal because its likely a small amount of those that have the issue.

I am looking forward to see what Best Buy has to offer. So far the only thing I am rly considering is Toy Story 3 and a new TV for my room from Target. Maybe some toys from TRU but idky.

Ding Ding Ding - I've found my winner!!

DS is getting the Xbox 360 250GB for Christmas.....throw in a $50 gift card & I'm sold!!!!

Can you tell me what the price is? I can't access the ad for some reason.
