Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

Right now I see nothing earth shatter that want make stand out in the cold. I have got some really good deals past couples weeks. it take alot impressive me.

You answered your own question: You put in a "but" but not everyone will, and generally the stores will get more people to rush to the store based on the small but significant chance of getting a door-buster than if they didn't offer door-busters at all.

I know why they offer the doorbsters, my issue is that they are gong to have only 4 of a certain item on the busiest shopping day of the year. I'm not willing to get tehre by 3AM wait in line only to be the 5th person and then satisfy my hunger for great deals by buying half off a $12 dollar pair of slippers or a $30 blender  I know many other people will be there to pick those things up, but they would be there anyway for the whole thrill of BF. I'm so not one of those people

As I said in an earlier post, Walmart is the wild card in all this. I am betting they may "take off the wraps" on their BF merchandise @ 3:00 a.m.

As for Target, you will definitely want to stake-out your place around 60-90 minutes prior to store opening, as "if you snooze, you'll lose"...

Plus, according to the "leaked" ad, it looks like you will now be able to download a map from Target's website telling you where everything is at your local store (since the "deals" won't be in their usual departments).

I hope they dont do it like last year. They wouldnt let us get out of line from where we staying for the big ticket items to go and get some of the smaller things we wanted so by the time you got your item and moved out ALOT of the other items were gone.
Remember Disney store opened at 11pm last year (i think i know it was early) and TRU opened up at midnight got both done early then off to Walmart last year

I see quite a few things I could use at Target, just disappointed that the XBox doesn't come with the Kinect. Hopefully I can use the gift card to buy a game or part of the system.

Like the slippers, fleece stuff and TVs. Target is the only store in my area that handles BF well. They have a LARGE staff helping people out and you're usually in and out and not disappointed. Looking forward to it! :thumbsup2

do you think the Target dual screen DVD player will be available online that morning. I have to work Black friday and dont get off till 3pm

I have the opposite. Target doesn't handle BF well. But my small Walmart handles it very well. Their is a small line. I bring my flyer and they compare prices w/no problem.

My main thought is SO many people posted about the AMAZING deals they bought online and made fun of all of us standing in line in the cold. I would really like to know what deals were available - can you get the same things?

Last year on Thanksgiving Day I went online and got my Best Buy large purchased taken care of (60" plasma V plus blue ray player). It was a doorbuster on BF. Online it because available right on Thanksgiving Day. On BF I went online to amazon and got all the little things I wanted like a bunch of DVDs and DS games dirt cheap.

Walmart posts on their flyer and online what is available online on BF. Last year I was up at 4am getting the Tom tom GPS and the 19" flat panel TV that's in my bedroom right now! Right after I ran out to Sam's to get the netbook they had advertised only to find that the tickets were passed out early!! I was so angry until I got home and found a very good one online as an eBay daily deal. Great day overall!!! :cool1:

I have an ipad - so I thought I might surf while staying in line. But, now the doors open so early!!! Wow, I just can't believe we are going to have to start this early. I might be shooting for a late nap on Thanksgiving and not go to bed.

Nothing from JcPenneys yet?

I actually have my eye on a new bedding set for myself - just hoping to snag it a little cheaper :rolleyes1

I'm gonna have to spend some serious time looking through all of these!

Can I just say I am so disappointed in the BF TRU ad? They have only a couple of the things my DD wants and I have to go at 10PM to get some then 5AM to get the others??? WTH?? And the DSi so not a bargin. Same deal right now basically at Walmart not worth getting up that early for it. I am hoping that Walmart is gonna have a better deal going on.

Anyone know what Target charges for shipping? They have Night At The Museum which DS wants (DVD), and also Lego Battles for DS for $7!! I paid $17.49 at Kohls and was happy with that but I would return it if I can get this. There's a Target right near us but I am not a 3 a.m. type of girl. I think DH would institutionalize me. :lmao:

I only glanced at some of the TRU ad but...33% off Legos? LAME!
