Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

Okay, I don't mean to sound like an idiot but when it's "automatically" matched, does that mean I should be able to go to amazon.com, look up the item on sale somewhere else and it should match the price of the sale or do I havae to contact someone to get the price matched? :confused3

am wondering as well, as their is no best buy within 1 1/2 hours of me. anyone? :confused3

Amazon.com just announced that they will be matching Walmart's early Black
Friday sale in today's Amazon.com Gold Box. All deals will be available during a limited time window and the featured Deal of the Day will be available all day or until it sells out.

Automatically matched means that if Amazon is aware of an item that is on sale, then the price of the item should already be marked down on their website when you pull it up. If it is a sale that they are unaware of, then you would have to contact customer service and request a price match.

I don't see much for us on Sears...

I hope that Best Buy and Target come through with good stuff.

I have a question about the Wii games that Best Buy has on sale tomorrow.

Will Walmart honor these prices? I was wondering, since they don't have an actual ad. It was only emailed. My closest BB is 45 minutes away.

Thanks for any help!

Amazon has price matched these, so go check out their website. I just got the Wii Toy Story Mania game for 19.99! Woo hoo!:thumbsup2

Wow! Thanks for the heads up. I've bought the laptops at the Wal-Mart pre-bf sale for the last two years and each time got one of the last ones they had. If I can snag this tonight I'll have no worries! Still going for the itunes cards though.

If the rumors are true, the release date makes great sense to anyone who is retail minded; however, from a PR standpoint, flaunting the Google/Verizon partnership could backfire, at least in certain markets of geekdom where condemnation of both companies regarding their attempted destruction of net neutrality has been quite heavy.
Updating this...

Evidently, there isn't actually any significant condemnation regarding net neutrality:

Every single one of the 95 FreePress/PCCC House and Senate candidates that took the Net Neutrality Protectors pledge: "I believe in protecting net neutrality -- the First Amendment of the Internet," lost in the mid-term elections Tuesday.

* So the best available national proxy vote gauging political support for FreePress/PCCC's vision of net neutrality lost unanimously 95-0.

As I blogged Friday in: "Tuesday's Net Neutrality's National Referendum" post FreePress/PCCC unwisely made net neutrality a measurable election issue by seeking public pledges from 95 House and Senate candidates before the election.

This means FreePress can no longer legitimately claim their net neutrality movement has significant grass roots political support.

This also means the FCC can see clearly that political support for net neutrality does not extend much beyond the email lists of the extreme left: FreePress, PCCC, and Moveon.org.

Simply, FreePress's long and loud claim that net neutrality was an important political issue to the American people has been exposed as completely untrue.
All 95 PCCC Net Neutrality Supporters Lost in the Election | The Precursor Blog by Scott Cleland

People talk a good game, whining about net neutrality, but when push comes to shove, practically no one really puts their money where their mouths are, and as a result net neutrality is going to receive no serious consideration as an issue for the next couple of years.
