Hi everyone~ I love black and white photos of my kids, so I am already thinking of my christmas cards. I want to take a close up of my two kids wearing santa hats with black and white film and then after its developed color in the hat red. I went and got a set of zig pens today and tried them out on another black and white photo, it never dried , but it also was made from one of those kodak picture makers, will that matter? why didnt it dry? is there another way to color in something other than the zig pens? thanks for any info. Dawn

I use the zig pens all the time - but never tried them on the kodak machine pics.
I can tell you that you need to color over it once - let it dry - and then color again til you get it at the saturation you want! I does take some time to dry too.

Cute idea for the pics - I am going for a B&W too but haven't figured out what or where yet.

The only other way I can think of to do it is have your photo developed and put on disk (or use digital if that is an option) and go in and color the hat then have the pics developed through an online service!
(only prob is they won't be TRUE b&w but sephia)

I think I figured out the problem I bought a set of zig pens but not the ones called photo twin, I bought the millienum set, would that matter.

Thats it-
I am not sure WHY it makes a diff - but it sure does!

It's better to use them on matte vs. glossy prints. BUT I can't find anyone to develop them in matte. I think I read about a spray you could put on the pic first, so the marker has something to adhere to. But I don't remember what it was. Sorry.
