Christine, I think it'd be a 'liquidy' instead of a smoothie by the time it made it to Florida. Get one and pretend I made it.
Kim, Much as I'd LOVE to do that, it'd be hard to keep the ice cream frozen before I got to make it and that's one of the requirements... We'll just have to have a meet at a Dairy Queen soon.
Kallison, Dishwasher safe are my two favorite words. It was very easy to put together and use. I think my DD(5) could do it. The only hard part is you have to hold down the 'power' switch while you're making the 'soft serve' ice cream. So really to make a cone, it would be a two person operation. One to hold the switch and and to press the plunger that feeds the ice cream, and one to hold the cone underneath the nozzle. Other than that, it was really simple.
We used vanilla and mint ice creams with M&M's and peanut butter and chocolate chips. You can use pretty much any ice cream and mixins, from the chocolate chips to cereal. The only thing you can't use is things like marshmallows, caramel, and raisins.
I might have to go make some more.
