BL9 Friday Exercise Challenge - Kick of the challenge with a BANG!

I forgot to post here yesterday. I walked 3 miles:

1 with my puppy: 17 minutes.
2 withOUT said puppy: 27 minutes for both miles combined.

Think she slows me down at all? :rotfl:

Y'all are making me want a Wii something fierce!
 
Does anyone want to continue this challenge daily??????? Or do you want to move to the January Exercise challenge? Did this particular challenge make you exercise when you wouldn't have otherwise? I think it made me............since I felt accountable to it.

It made me exercise since I feel like I know the people on this thread!
 
I have committed to walking 2 miles 2x a day on the treadmill (knee brace and all!)...so it takes me about 85 minutes a day...I also add in hand weights and do strength training...I'm trying to do this every single day until our family's first cruise in May...I figure there are people who live in New York, London, major cities that have to walk 4 miles just to get to work, grocery, etc...so I've made it a must...I do it first thing in the morning and an hour after dinner when dh is playing with the kids...I've managed for 9 days so far and even when I went out of town I managed to hit a greenway with the dogs and walked for 45 minutes..assuming that was 2 miles! :)

If I don't make this a have to, I won't lose and keep it off..the goal is to walk this way until I get to my goal weight, then cut back to 2 miles a day and add in extra activities (swimming/tennis etc.)

It's not easy some days, but I give myself a pep talk and say just get your butt on there!! Once I'm on I stay on!! :)
