Now to introduce myself... First I want to say thanks to all of you for joining in our Biggest Loser Journey. I have made so many friends from our previous WISH BL’s and I can’t wait to get to know all of you and make new friends. I am honored to be the Blue team captain and hope to make you all proud. I hope to be able to provide the support and motivation and cheering on that will help us all succeed in our WISH to get healthier and loose weight.

Ok, I have over 100 pounds to loose and I have slowly lost some weight, not a lot, but some. I tried WW zillions of times, and now am working on my own plan of trying to eat smaller portions, healthier foods, increase fruits and veggies, decreasing my trips to McDonalds (which is my downfall) and working on getting in more exercise. I am currently in Tae Kwon Do (I’m an orange belt… and I test for my next belt on Monday…wish me luck!!) :flower3: I am also doing a lot of walking and I do have an entire library of workout tapes at home that I sometimes do (Leslie Sansone, Biggest loser, jane fonda, kathy smith, etc....), I also have an eliptical at home that I dust off once in a while! LOL!

I started a new job back in April and now am working full time. I have to really work in exercise time and one of my goals is to manage my time better. I am a nurse and work in the OR. In fact today I have to be at work at 5:30 am:scared1: , and I am on call this weekend, so I might not be able to check in here as much as I want, but I will do my best.

I am 39 (almost 40... in fact for my Birthday present we are going to WDW!!!:woohoo: ) I married my HS sweetheart and have 2 fantastic kids. We also have a dog. And I am very proud of my Latvian heritage.:goodvibes

I guess thats about it for now! Who's next?

I'll go next....

Good luck on your next belt, Princess Vija! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

I'm Hypermommy... okay, my legal name is Denise but that doesn't near describe me well enough. You'd think being so hyper I would not have let my weight creep up over the years (I'm 42). But it has because most of what I do is sitting at the computer and I munch. Yes, McDonald's (and Burger King and Wendy's and Whataburger) is one of my downfalls, but mostly it's just constantly munching. I don't eat becuase I'm hungry. I eat because "hmmmm... that would taste good".

I don't really have any diet or exercise plans yet but I do know that I want to look a lot less like the Goodyear blimp when we go on our next cruise in November 2009. I'm looking for a diet plan that's VERY specific. Cutting down portions and eating healthier will probably work for me once I get near a maintenance weight but right now I need to know specifically what I can eat and what I can't eat. It'd be much easier to lose weight if I could just quit food cold turkey.

I'm very excited to be part of this challenge!!! Looking forward to getting to know my teammates. Let's show those other teams that we rock!!! Go Blue!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I'm Hobbester or Lisa. I'm 35, 36 on Monday. I'm married and have 3 silly cats. I find that I loose the most weight when I get on my treadmill and walk. So starting today, the treadmill platform is coming down (it has been upright for a while now). My favorite color is blue so this is a great sign of what's to come. I'm going to Disney in December and I would really like to loose at least 15/20 pounds by then. Hopefully with this program and your motivation it will happen. I look forward to this challenge and to getting to know everyone.

Hi Blue Team - my name is Holly and I am so psyched for this challenge. I lost about 40 pounds on WW and have been quite successful in putting most of it back on (shame on me). I don't have a specific diet plan ready to go but want to basically eat healthier with lots more fruits and veggies. My downfall is water - I have a tough time gettng that in. Overall I want to lose about 50-55 pounds.

I'm married with 2 great kids (well, most of the time they're great :lmao: ) We're taking our first DCL cruise in November 2009 and I want to by the hot sexy mom by the pool.

I want to wish the whole team good luck. Let's Rock and Roll Blue Team!!!:cheer2: :grouphug:

Hey Holly, we're also cruising in November 2009. When's yours? We're doing the double dip on 14 November. And yes, I want to be the hot sexy mom by the pool too! :cool1:

Hi Everyone!

I'm Sabrina and I'm 32. I would like to lose 35 lbs overall especially before WDW next summer.

I have tried this challlenge before but life happened and I left this fall off of my radar. Actually I think I was on your team before Princess Vija.

I am a full time employee of the US Dept of Agriculture and I go to school part time trying to earn a BS in Accounting. I have been married for 8 years and have a 12 year old stepdaughter who is in gymnastics.

I wish you all luck and look forward to getting to know you all.

Sabrina :yay:

Hi Hypermommy (Denise) - yes we're cruising from 10/31-11/7. I believe from an earlier post you said you were going on 11/14. Too bad we won't overlap.

Hi Blue Team! I'm Bethany, or WaffleLady or Convert, depending on my mood!

I'm 31, been married for 7 years and have one son who started kindergarten this year. Boo hoo!

I have about 30 pounds to lose...I lost them for my wedding but they came back. Boo hiss.

I've done WW before, but just can't justify spending the money anymore. I started a journal on here and started exercising last weekend again. I either walk or do a 20 minute workout on Fit TV! I also have a dusty elliptical in my basement. Baby steps though...

I am so excited to have found this board!

Oh, that's right. I remember now. Sorry..... I just don't seem to have the memory I once had. Gettin' old can be the pits but it sure as Hades beats the viable alternative (dyin').

Hi everyone,

Good Luck with your belt test Princess Vija!

I'm 39 and have been married to a wonderful DH for 21 years. I have two beautiful children (my DD16 and my DS10). My husband has been in Afghanistan since July, but he comes home next weekend (as long as everything goes according to plan). Keep your fingers crossed!! My DD16 is learning to drive, and boy is that scary - but I'm so proud of her. I don't know how single parents do it. It's super hard when he leaves for long periods of time. Would have been easier earlier in the summer when there wasn't football and cheerleading, but I'm thankful he is almost home.

Back in 2003 after he got home from the beggining of the Iraq war, I lost 50lbs and was at my WW goal. Since then a little would creep on, but each summer I would manage to loose enough to keep me maintaining either in the 140's or 150's. Well this past winter and summer things got out of hand and I just found myself coming back from Vegas to visit my mom in the 170's. How the heck I let that happen I don't know. I'm 5'2" tall.

I used to do WW's and now I'm counting calories on sparkpeople. It seems like since I gave up WW's is when the weight really came on, but I know that calories are the same thing if I just work it. I try to eat food that is pretty much in it's natural state and I try to stay away from packaged processed foods as much as possible. I also try to eat mostly organic food and I've gotten it down to about 80% most of the time. Lately I've been working on cleaning up the products I put on my body like, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, make-up, lotion, etc. I think it's good for not only me but the environment.

Next summer is my 40th birthday and I really really want to lose this weight once and for all. I want to be healthy by my 40th birthday. I'd like to ultimately get down to about 125-130.

I'm really looking foward to getting to know the group and all of us having wonderful success at getting to where we want to be.

Hi guys!

I'm Lessa, 25 and single. I am currently working full-time as an emergency operator and I am hoping to start working towards a BsN (Nursing) next fall. It will be a second degree for me but I think the rewards will be well worth the extra time, money and effort.

I have at least 50 pounds to lose, I would like to lose more but I would be happy with the 50. I slowly let the weight start creeping on when I started university. I was not eating healthy foods (darn cafeteria) and had almost no exercise other than my 5 minute walks to class. Now here I am at 25 ready to work off my university weight. I want to feel better about myself and how I look not to mention I want to ward off any health problems that could result from being overweight. I have been lucky so far and not had any develop. I am tired of having to dig to the bottom of the pile at clothing stores to find the extra-large shirts and the size 16 jeans.

I am scheduled to go on a Disney Cruise with my mom in May 2009 and I would like to have lost a lot of weight by then and hopefully this challenge will help keep me motivated. I try to walk as often as possible and I am another one who has a dusty elliptical in their basement. I am going to try and use that more while watching my tv shows at night. Others tools that I have to help me meet my exercise goals are a Wii Fit and several exercise videos, including a Biggest Loser video.

I also need to focus on eating healthier foods. I am all about the comfort foods like pizza and mac and cheese and often times I find myself picking up Wendy's on my way to or from work with the excuse that I don't have the time to prepare a healthy meal at home.

I'm really looking forward to taking part in this challenge and getting to know the rest of my teammates here on the Blue Team.

I'm June, and I'm thrilled to be participating in my first Biggest Loser challenge! I have tried every diet invented, but the one that has worked best for me is the Disney diet --my daughter loves the pool at our resort, so we spending a lot of time in our bathing suits. I'm headed there in 3 weeks/5days (who's counting???!) and have been using the thought of me in a swimsuit  to inspire me.

I attend Weight Watchers, and I try to log my food online every day. Plus, I attend Curves a couple times per week, and I walk around the neighborhood every night after dinner.

I don't have a thyroid due to radioiodine treatment a few years back, and this is what caused me to go from a skinny girl to WAAAAY too much of me to love! Due to the thyroid problems, I lose very slowly, but I promise to do my best to make the blue team proud! :yay:

Go Blue! June

Melanie -- fingers crossed that DH gets home safely next week! Thanks for all you do for our country!

I just went and bought a lot of fruits and veggies at the store. I'm going to clean them and try to eat more of them. Looks like I picked the wrong month to do the DCL cruise, I'm going in February 09. I think that we are going to have a great team!

Hi My name is Diana, I am 34. I have a wonderful DH Ken and DD Casey (7, almost 8!)

I was always a chunky kid, even in the military. FInally I found Atkins and dropped 52lbs in 4 months I am 5' 2 1/2". After about 2.5 years I slowy fell into old eating habits, I gained most back and finally lost it in the past few months. Recently I gained back about 10 and now in the process of dropping them.
So by May 09 when our cruise/land vacation starts I want all this weight gone- after this 10 I want to lose another 10.

My name is Natale I work about 15 hours a week at a retail store and then about 145 hours a week being a Stay at home mommy. I guess that leaves about 10hours a week for sleep. :rotfl2:

I'm about 5'9". I'd always been around 160-170 in High School. Somehow right after high school I started losing weight (not sure how... wasn't trying) and got down to 135lbs. That's when I met my DH. Fooled him!!! :lmao:
We were married in 1999 when I was 19 years old. I started gaining my weight right after we said "I DO!" We are celebrating our 9 year wedding anniversary TODAY!!!

I have two babies Dexter 3.5 years old and Skylar 7 months. I am currently 17 lbs under my pre-pregnancy weight - I'm only about 7lbs away from my "I'll be happy" weight BUT hope to lose 15-20lbs more. It would be great if I could lose 20lbs before the Disney. Because between the Dining Plan and the All You Can Eat cruise I'm sure I'll pack 5lbs right back on!!!

I'm so excited about this!!!! Let's get started!!!!

-nat

Hi Blue Team!

My name is Donna. I am 52 years old and currently single. I started on a medically supervised high protein fasting program last February and lost 50 pounds by June. Since then I have been eating 1200 calories a day and have lost another 20 pounds. My goal is to lose another 30 pounds. I am very excited to be part of this team!

I walk on the treadmill 5 times a week for 45 minutes. I also joined Curves in July and work out there 2-3 times per week.

I travel a lot for work and find it challenging to eat healthy and exercise while "on the road."

I will be at WDW in early November for a week with my brother and his family. I am really looking forward to that trip!! They have two adorable little girls ages 7 and 4 who are super excited about the trip.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all! Go BLUE!!

First, let me give major hugs to MelanieC. Dh left today for Afghanistan. He isn't supposed to be gone long, but I do know exactly how you feel.

OK, I am Briarmom and I am going to lose weight!! I need to lose about 25 pounds. I don't know if Biggest Loser is on in the States or not, but if it is, I won't be able to watch it as I live in Belgium (land of beer and chocolate :headache: ).

I was very big for a few years of my life and then got my weight under control after my 2nd child was born. The past 2 years have been difficult ones living in Egypt and now here and I've gained 15 + pounds.

I am so excited to lose with all of you!!:grouphug:
