Good Friday Morning Well I am back on the right track I was down 1 pound for this week. It is a start A late one but a start.

Please make sure to weigh in today and PM your weight and what team you are on to dare2dream or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. If using email please also include your DIS screen name.
* When reporting state your weight in pounds ie xxx pounds. You may use

Question of the Day
IF you could stay any where on Disney property, with no worry about expense, where would it be and why?


I would love to stay at the Contempory with a MK view. Only for 1 night because I don't really like the Contempory. Then I would stay at the Poly for a couple of nights witha MK view. Then I would stay at the Boardwalk with an Epcot view. But if you have never stayed at the AK with a savannah view that is unbelievable. We were given that as an anniversary present this year Just 1 night before we went over to POP. If I figure out how to post pictures I will post one or two that I have from the room.

Hope everyone is having a losingg day. Only 4 weeks left.

I started seeing a weight loss MD last week and although following his plan is really really hard, it works. The diet is very restrictive. I was eying the sweet potatoes I made for dinner yesterday and I HATE sweet potatoes! :laughing:

As for resorts, I would love to stay at AK and wake up to the Savannah, but DH says it is too far from everything (he is not really a bus fan). We thought about staying there for our Disneymoon, but he whined, so we chose the Wilderness Lodge instead, since it is close to Mk and neither of us has ever stayed there. DH is a huge contemporary fan, Mk view, but it was already booked for this trip. I don't think I have a favorite resort myself. Any of the deluxe would do just fine for me.

WOW Can I get on this diet? I have stayed at the the WL and I will see if in the next week I can post pictures of AK and WL
 
GOOD gracious Raenstoirm!!!!!!! I've been wondering how the people on BL lose so much weight in one week. Give up the secret, would you?????

I went to the doctor today because I was insanely dizzy and felt faint ever since I got to the gym. I was worried my blood pressure was low. It ends up I was diagnosed with vertigo. I had fluid in my ear a couple of weeks ago. She thinks that set me up for the vertigo. I dunno, I just want the world to stop spinning. I also have a small amount of ketones detected. Apparently I haven't been eating enough carbs, even though I thought I had been. She said that's why I'm crazy thirsty lately. My body is trying to get rid of the ketones by flushing them out. Dr. Sears, of the Zone, stresses not ot go into ketosis. I have to be more diligent. I just don't crave them like I used to...

I had a good week. Down about 5 lbs since last week when I was up 2.

So far our team is down 16 lbs!! WooHoo!!!!!

As for me, I'm down a whopping .4, but at least I am down.

QOTD - I have no clue!! I've only been to WDW 3x and stayed at my DSis who lives about an hour away! I only DREAM of WDW as everyone else in my family is a non-WDW fan.
 
Good Saturday morning everyone! Just got home from work, sorry I didn't get a chance to post sooner...apparently my work is now blocking "message boards/forums" so I can't get on the DIS at work anymore...oh the boredom I'm faced with now!

I am down 1.2 lbs this week! I was hoping for two, but I'll take that, at least I didn't stay the same or gain!

Holy crap Raenstoirm! ELEVEN pounds?! That's wonderful! Congratulations!!! :banana: :banana: :banana: You get three bananas for that! I'm so happy for you!

QOTD - I would definitely pick the Beach Club at Disney's Yaught and Beach Resort. Oh gosh I know I spelled Yaught wrong but for the life of me I can't seem to remember how to spell it this early in the morning! Anyways, I've stayed there once with my family when I was 12 and it was amazing! That was our all out splurge vacation where we did the all inclusive meal and recreation plan...I think we all gained at least 5 lbs on that trip! Their pool is my favorite!

Hi everyone! I'm down 3.2 from my last weigh in (2 weeks ago, since I was sick and forgot last week).

I think we might win this week!

I think Poly conceirge. I would love to do savannah view conceirge too, but the Poly is so convenient and has my favorite restuarants. What a happy dilemma that choice would be!
 
We had a physical challenge for the BL at my gym yesterday. I got to meet my teammates. They are all great!! I'm proud of myself for the effort. I didn't win any of the challenges. They haven't posted the results yet, I just know who won since I donated half hour back massages to the winners as a prize (I'm a massage therapist). If I had won I would have got a free session with my trainer. I actually had to do my shuttle run twice since each of my teammates thought somebody else was counting! Then I did two more hours in the gym.

I've stayed at both the Poly (had a complimentary upgrade to consierge as a Dream prize!) and the AKL consierge for one night for my 40th birthday. Both were awesome. The next place I would love to stay is the Beach Club. I've never stayed at an Epcot resort. I don't have any Disney trips coming up, but I am planning on taking my son to Washington DC the week between Christmas and New Years!
 
Just a quick post to say that I was up 3.4 this week. Vacation damage! Been back on track since I got home and hoping that the scale will catch up later this week.

Good Monday Morning leanne2255 Just beat me by a few minutes. Crazy day today. I left the house at 6:15 and won't be back until 5:15.

I got in 30 minutes of exercise yesterday and another 30 this morning which is a first for me.

Question of the Day
Name some things (non weight loss) that you have been successful at in the past. How can you utilize strategies that helped you succeed then, into succeeding at weight loss now.


I am successful at giving workshops and that takes a lot of hard work which is the one thing that I do bring to my weight loss strategy.

Successful at hmmmm. That is disturbingly tough. I don't think I have ever done anything that compares. I beat a terrible illness, but I don't think it was so much "me" as it was my body doing the work. And when I went into remission, "me" gained all this weight. :sad2:

I have to say that the QOTD has me stumped. I have not felt very successful at much lately, and I'm dismayed by that. Although I have lost 27+ pounds, I'm not at goal yet, so only consider that a milestone on the way.

I feel bad about my gain, since everyone else has had a loss. I'm afraid that I might bring the team down this week. Hoping that Raenstoirm's BIG loss this week will carry the team. That is awesome, by the way! :thumbsup2

Just wondering what everyone thinks about the "meanness" that is prevalent on the BL show this time. I have never really disliked the contestants before, but this one with Heba and Vicky has been disturbing. They are horrible. I was very glad to see Amy vote out a blue team member. That was the best! Can't wait for tomorrow's show to see what happens next.

Good Tuesday Morning EVeryone. I hope everyone is working on the COW for this week. The most challenging part of the COW this week for me is the exercise. Because of the shingles I have not felt up to exercising. This week I have worked out 3 mornings in a row. Today I still owe myself 15 more minutes but I will do those when I get home from work .


Stopping in to say that I'm sorry, but I doubt I'll be losing much of anything for the next 36 weeks as....

I'm Pregnant!!!!

I know there only a few weeks left in the challenge and I'd like to stick around if I can...

Don't feel bad about the gain. Everyone has them. It is part of the process.

I agree with you on the meaness this season. Nothing would make me happier than to see Heba and Vicky voted off. Do you think the meaness is why they had the vote off immediately last week. SO that no one could talk Amy into voting the blue team. I don't know how much Bob sees since it usually happens in the house when he is not there but the producers know. I really don't like this turn of events. This is not what the show is all about.

Question of the Day
What are some other reality shows that you watch, and why do you like them?


I love to watch Top Chef. I can't believe some of the dishes these people make on the spur of the moment. I got into Project Runway because of the clothes. I don't watch Surviivor because that seems too nasty to me although that is what BL is turning into this season. I hope that is not a sign of things to come. On BL at nbc.com the sentiment is very much anti nasty.

As for BL. I don't know what the deal with them is. When Bob is angry, you know there is something wrong since he seems so sweet.

QOTD- I only watch TV on Mondays (dvr and watch it all week, so I think they are only on Mondays but maybe I am wrong) (Two and a half men, How I met your mother, Heroes, Boston Legal) and BL on Tuesdays. We have been watching a lot of politics over the last few weeks- does that count as reality TV? I think it is more like a soap! ;)

I'm afraid I am up again. I saw my doctor yesterday and he told me to stop getting on the scale everyday!! He said something about all the weight I've lost over the past 7 months and something about a trend, yada, yada, yada....

I was so close to my goal to be what I weighed when I got married and I feel like it slipped away... I couldn't possibly be PMSing again, right?

So, I've decided to only weigh in on Saturdays at the gym for the BL contest there. Between weighing eveyday and then comparing it to the gym's scale it was making me nuts!! I never have time on Fridays to post my weight and points here anyhow. So I'll post here on Saturdays.

Of course, I'll throw out the new plan if Raenstorim ever gives up the secret ;)

QOTD I'm actually pretty good at setting goals and reaching them, go figure. The biggest things I seem unable to master is my weight and quitting smoking for good. I'll quit for 6 wks or more and then go back. It's insane. I'm starting chantix this week. But give me a difficult project other than those two things and I make it happen every time! Hmm, how to put it all together. That's a good one.
 
Good Wednesday Morning HOw is everyone doing?? Busy couple of days for us here at school. The state is coming in to look things over and everyone is going crazy SO I can't stay on for long this morning.

Question of the Day
If money were no object, what kinds of things would you have in a “home gym”, (sky’s the limit).


I would have a treadmill, a bike, a tv WITH CABLE, plenty of windows overlooking a wooded area, a pilates station and plenty of mats for yoga.

I will be posting the first of the year with the scoop as soon as I get some real results. The 11 lbs might be all I end up losing and the plan is really not fun to lose so little. However I did have my two week check-up with the doc that put me on the plan and he was DISAPPOINTED in my weight loss. The pound loss is OK, but I only lost 2 something (mm, cm, not sure) from my under arms and my neck is still the same circumference (did you know how healthy you are is based on the circumference of your neck? (news to me) I don't think I have any fat on my neck to lose! But hey, he is the expert.
I see him again in another two weeks, so hopefully my neck has shrunk or he will again accuse me of cheating like he did this week.
I hope to reach one-derland before thanksgiving. Today I weighted in at 204.0 (stared with doc at 218.6 on election day)

Of course in my insanity I chose to do this over the holidays, so I will be tempted and my will power with be majorly tested, but I have paid nearly a grand to this guy (with at least 2 more appointments to go this year, so figure $1500 will be spent on this doc) which my insurance probably WON'T reimburse me, so I better be good, for my pocket books sake. :laughing:
