I know Tammy is happy this morning since NC won last night Go Tarheels!! NJ hasn't had a winning team for a long time. It must feel good.

Question of the Day
What do you do for a living?

How does it help or hinder your weight loss?

Thanks and yes I was very happy for the win!!:cool1:

I am a SAHM and homeschool our two kids (DD-16, DS-14). It can be a challenge because our house is laid out as one long open area room for the kitchen, dining area, living area and the dining area is where we typically do most of the school work. So the kitchen is always in sight but I have learned just to not purchase the unhealthy snacks and make sure to keep raw almonds or something healthy there for the just in case. I also try to keep the light turned off in the kitchen when I'm not cooking and that helps to serve as a reminder that the kitchen is closed. All a mind game with myself;).

Keep up the great work, mates! :yay: I'll be without internet access starting this evening. This time at my mil's is going to be a real battle to not gain (it always is and I usually lose..the battle). My mil's house is set up for disaster. Every end table has dishes of chocolate candy or nuts..and I'm not exaggerating! This is ALL the time, not just at Easter. I think she must have been deprived of it as a child, or embraced the philosophy that if it is around all of the time, you won't pig out on it when you see it. Then the cupboards are filled with cookies and more candy. I will grocery shop when I get there, and am bringing my WATP DVD's for the 2 days when I'll be able to use them, and hand weights to do strength training.

Why does the weight come on so quickly, but take so long to get off??!! :sad2: I'll get through this one step at a time..Sorry to sound so whiney...:sad1: I just really liked seeing that number on the scale Friday. That's what is going to keep me on track, I hope!! Anne

Stay strong while you are away, sounds like you've got a good plan and you can think of us in the back of your mind to help you stick to it:thumbsup2. I wish I knew the answer to your question too, why the pounds can come on so quick but they don't like to let go as easily. Keep on your plan for yourself and you'll be fine!!

Ok- I was so lost, I couldn't figure out what team I was on - but mystery solved thanks to a PM from Jessi!

I was doing good even doing well when I went the end of March for the Nascar race, but Monday driving home I got my TOM and things went out of whack. I've been struggling ever since and still not back on track.

I hid from WISH and the BL Challenge. Why do I do this when posting here is what I really need. Why does I let it make me hide? This is something I must work on, because It's a key to success I need to conquer.

Ok - Starting right now - no more unhealthy non OP foods in my mouth. Back to eating Clean and counting calories on SP.

I can do this and I better get a handle quick before I undo the good I've done. I have less than 4 months to Disney and if I want to be wearing the shorts I have - I better get my rear in gear.

Plan - Tonight:

Eat healthy and light and do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 1

Tomorrow:

Eat clean, pack my meals and do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 1 and 20-30 min on the treadmill.

So that is my plan, back on track and gonna go kick some butt!

Glad to see you here now. Remember we aren't all about the good things, we are here for the struggles too!! :cheer2:

Bill-Thanks for your observations too, love hearing what others are thinking!!

I had a pretty decent day on the eating front but still just can't get into the exercise mode. I am saying here on the boards that I will get on the Wii Fit today so I know I can't come back here and report that I didn't do it.

I hope everyone has a great day, keep plugging away green team, it would be great to take this week too!!:cheer2:

Hi everyone. I just realized that I have not posted today. NOt a very good host today.

It is a pretty lazy day here. I was going to go and get my new sewing machine but it has not come in. I have to do the taxes tomorrow morning and then after that I have to go pick up ds2 from college for the weekend.

Question of the Day
If you could stay at DW at no cost where would you stay?

I would pick another night at the WL and another night at AKL and then the rest of the trip would be a castle view of the CR. I know dh doesn't like the CR but I would love a couple of nights with a castle view.

Have a good day. How is the COW coming for people?

How is the COW coming for people?

What a fun question... My first inclination is AKL--I love the animals and would love to be able to go watch them whenever I have a few moments in the hotel. But if I were traveling with my mom I think we would do GF--we both love the Victorian style (to visit, not to live in) and enjoyed an afternoon exploring GF on our last trip.

The COW is going OK for me--really need to work on fruits an veggies today... just not in the mood for fruit today--which is weird for me... but I will force myself during my afternoon break (I'm heading out to plant some trees before the storm comes in this afternoon). But I weighed myself this morning and looks like weight is going well this week... :)

Hope everyone has a great day!!
:) Liz

The tax man cometh!! I have to finish mine ... I have to pay the man!!

I've stayed at the CR and Poly and like both for different reason. Never stayed in the Tower at CR but I have been in the rooms with a MK view. I would probably try the GF, not b/c of cost but b/c its on the monorail and I already stayed at the CR and Poly. I also love Narcoosee's.

Have a good day. How is the COW coming for people?

I'm always good everyday with water and fruit ... but always lacking on the veggies. I had a salad for lunch today, probably first veggies since Sunday. 3 quarts of water a day seems to help keep me full (and marching to the bathroom).

I would probably stay at AKL Concierge Savannah View or the Poly since I can't do those with my DVC.

How is the COW coming for people?[

The COW is going pretty well this week. I am excited because this is the first time since we started the original BL 7 thread that I am actually doing the COW and succeeding!

Have a great day everyone!

Tuedsay Question of the Day
What do you do for a living?

How does it help or hinder your weight loss?

I'm an office manager for an auto dealership. It is a position that can both hinder and help. The hinder part is that I"m sitting at a desk, in front of a computer all day. The help is that since I have worked here for so long (24 years) I have a lot of flexability. I am able to eat my lunch (which I pack everyday) while I cover the phone when the receptionist is at lunch, so that when my lunch hour comes, I can walk for the entire hour. I do a 3 mile walk and I also work in a beautiful city and I'm only 6 blocks from the beach. Which is where I go.

I also wanted to share some food finds with you all. If you have a Trader Joes give their FF balsomic dressing a try. 2 servings is 1 point. I also just tried their "Just Chicken". I found it in the freezer section and it is grilled chicken strips. I had it in my salad today and it's really good.

Wednesday Question of the Day
If you could stay at DW at no cost where would you stay?

The GF or AKL. Have only stayed at the Poly before.

Hey everyone - Day one back on track - Yeah 1 day down. Whew I think day 1 is the hardest when climbing back on that wagon. Anyone else need picking up - I think I'm doing good and can stay on - whew!!

No exercise though - But I had planned tonight and got my eyes dialated and they are still that way and I can't see correctly - makes me dizzy - figured I should wait till tomorrow. Hopefully I can get back into exercise - I think I really need to get back on track there too.

oh - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the clippie - it so rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Yesterday went pretty well, still missing on the fruits for the COW but it does have me at least thinking more about them. The water and veggies aren't a problem at all.

QOTD - It would have to be the Poly, just love the atmosphere there and always make a trip over to Ohana or Kona every visit.

I need to start working on the taxes today, finish up some crafting projects for a trip I'm taking next weekend and at some point today we've got to go look at new ovens. I think ours finally died. It was and 83 model I believe, we've had it worked on several times but not sure that it can be brought back to life. So my meals for the rest of the week have got to be changed since I'm not sure when we'll be able to get it fixed or a new one put in. The one we have now is a size they don't make anymore so DH is going to have to make some changes to the cabinets. Luckily this is what he does, we are just usually on the bottom of the list since it's a non-paying job:confused3. I did ask if we had to change instead of doing the combo oven/microwave if we could do a double oven and put a microwave above the stove top. We'll see but it sure makes meal time a little more difficult until we get it done.

I better get going, need to check a few more posts then off the computer.

In case I don't get back on before morning, thanks donac for coaching this week, you did a great job!!:cool1:

Have a great day everyone!!! Tomorrow is our next WI, let's have a great one Green Team!!!:cheer2::cheer2:

Good Thursday Morning everyone.

I feel so lazy this week. I have not exercised all week. PLan on taking a walk this afternoon when we pick up ds2 from college.

I was pretty busy yesterday. I quilted a quilt that I am trying to finish for my in laws. Then got a call that my new sewing machine was in. I went and picked it up and turned in my old one. I don't know what they are going to do but I don't have it in my house any more. The new one doesn't do too much more than the old one but the old one was not running well. The part that was not running well was the only computer in the machine. I knew once that went it would cost me a lot of money. I had my old machine for almost 15 years and used it a lot.

Bill glad that the COW is inspiring you to keep up with the fruits, veggies and water. That is what it is intended to do.

Lisa Glad to hear that the COW is going great. I am getting ready to post the next one.

Melanie I hear you about the exercise. I am off this week and have been very lazy.

Venetia I don't have a Trader Joe's near me. The food sounds great.

Liz Glad to hear the weight is going well.

Tammy I know what you mean about being without an oven. I did without one for a number of months before I replaced my last one. (Check out what I say about my frig below)

Question of the Day
What is your favorite ride(s) in the Magic Kingdom?

I love a good Jungle Cruise. If you have never ridden it at night try it next time. It is a different experience. I also like the Haunted Mansion at night. There is always an extra scream or two in the shifting room. Dumbo is pretty cool at night also with the castle changing colors. BUt I love Tomorrow Land Tansit (Webway People MOver forever in my brain) anytime I need a rest.

Have a great day. Off to quilt. I have just cleaned out the freezer and need to finish the frig since a new one is coming on Sat. Needed a new one since the frig froze EVERYTHING no matter how low you went.

Question of the Day
What is your favorite ride(s) in the Magic Kingdom?

I think that the answer to this question for me would be a toss up between sailin' with salty old pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean pirate: or taking a relaxing ride on TTA, especially at night.

Dona and Tammy I hope that you get your appliances troubles resolved -- it is hard to eat healthy when your fridge or oven doesn't work!

Dona, I like the new COW challenge, too, especially the last one. Doing something nice for ourselves everyday is something that we all need to remember to do.

Melanie, glad that you are back on the wagon. We will all help you hang on!

Have a great day everyone!

hellooooo.....long time for me. just returned for a long weekend at Washington DC. had a great time, ate too much of course and my workout clothes never made it out of my luggage. you've heard it all before, today i'm accountable and sugar-detoxing

 the new clippie! thanks to the artist!!

so tomorrow i will re-WI and i'm sure gained 5 lbs, i can feel it around my waist. i'm going to go to spinning class here in an hour to remind my body how to exercise. know how you feel all tight and creaky after skipping too many workouts? yea, i'm there

i'm just going to jump back in on the chatter -----not try to catch up. i have too much laundry for that indulgence ...lol

Question of the Day
What is your favorite ride(s) in the Magic Kingdom?

I have only been to the Magic Kingdom once and that was in 1998. I loved Alien Encounter. I don't know if this ride is still there, but I really liked it.

Question of the Day
What is your favorite ride(s) in the Magic Kingdom?

Rides: Space Mtn and Splash Mtn
And then little kid ride is Peter Pan

My favorite show is Mickey's Philharmagic - just awesome!

QOTD - My favorites - well - since my first trip to Dland was when I was a year old--my favorites at MK are those that I either miss from Dland past or those that aren't at DLR.

Classics - People Mover (TTA?), Carousel of Progress (or as my 4yo DN calls it - that beautiful tomorrow round bldg ride) and Country Bear Jamboree (I had the album when i was a kid--it was one of the first things I memorized).

Not at DLR - Philharmagic (LOVE that show!!!!) and Hall of Presidents (am very excited that they are bringing back Great Moments with Mr Lincoln to DLR).

Donac - love the new COW starting tomorrow--will be getting a new battery for my pedometer today so it's quite timely--thanks for being a great coach this week!!

Good luck everyone with staying on track or getting back on track :) Have a happy day!

:) Liz

Thought that you might like to know that State Farm has free pedometers for their insureds if you don't have one. They work reasonably well but they will turn off and reset if you are sedentary for too long. ;)

Hello everyone, I've been Awol this week. I have been trying to spend spring break with my kiddos and today when I decided to get online my computer was not cooperating so I had to finigle-sp? it.

So, let's see here.

QOTD Tuesday: I am a SAHM so it definitely can help and hinder my situation. It is nice to be able to go to the gym when my kids are at school but sometime me being at home allows me to be lazy too.

QOTD Wednesday: I would love to stay at either the Polynesian or The Grand Floridian resort.

QOTD Thursday: My favorite ride in Mk is definitely the Haunted Mansion- I will elaborate more on this later.

I have not been doing well this week with COW.
I will try harder next week!!

Kim
