Does anyone know what we lost last week? I have to leave for the hospital by 10:45 AM and hoping to see before then.:goodvibes Welcome to the Red Team all of you! GO RED!:cheer2:

My biggest motivation is vain...I want cuter clothes. I need to lose a little less than 50 pounds and smaller sized clothes are cuter than the bigger clothes. :rolleyes1 I also want to have more energy.

welcome to our new members bridgetgabbie joined us yesterday and her loss was included in our weekly total. Todays new members are Soccer Princess and Graciegirlie.

:welcome: to the Rocking Red Team!!

Does anyone know what we lost last week? I have to leave for the hospital by 10:45 AM and hoping to see before then.

Michelle, I have heard from our 34 team members from week one. We had one gain (TOM of course and stress), 10 no change, and 23 losses. Our total loss for week 1 was 59.6 pounds. I am in cahoots with the Vija and Dona, the other two team captains to make sure we are all calculating our percentages the same and to declare a team winner.

Attention Red Team!!

At this time I would like to annnounce the top five Red Team Losers for week one

(drum roll please)

#5 ibouncetoo (Jackie) 1.556 %
#4 Dare2dream (Brenda - Me!!) 1.650 %
#3 bcvprincess (Ann Marie) 1.724 %
#2 Acklander (???) 1.739 %

And the Red Team week 1 Biggest Loser is ....
tmeyer (Thresa) 2.137 %

Thresa I would love to hear what is working so well for you.

Congratulations to all our losers for all their hard work. Your name could be in the top 5 next week. Keep up the good work and be healthy.

hi everyone! i first want to congratulate everyone who lost this week! bet it really feels great!

unfortunately, it's that TOM for me and i didn't see any change on the scale. :( i'm going to be kicking up my workout and really watch what i eat for this week. i feel so bloated, which really made me realize that i'm sick of how fat i feel in my clothing. it's going to be a new week for me!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TOP FIVE LOSERS!
AND TO THE REST OF US TOO!

WOOO HOOOO...Top Five....that's motivation for staying on plan and having a swim today!

Off to the main WISH board to see if they've posted the winning team (I think Black Team lost over 80 lbs...but's it's all in the percentages folks!)

Edited:

CONGRATS TO THE BLACK TEAM FOR WINNING THE FIRST WEEK!

RED TEAM.....time to pull together! WE CAN DO IT!

Hi all! I am new here. Glad to be here!

I need to lose about 35-40. I go to T.O.P.S. (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) I have lost 35 lbs since joining in Nov of 05. I would like to make it to K.O.P.S (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) this year so I need to lose 32.5 lbs by Dec 13. That will be my last weigh in as we will be at Disney over the holidays.

I just had knee surgery Aug 15th so I am just now getting back with exercising. I was also really off track with my eating as I was just sitting around and when I am bored, I EAT!

I would like this challenge to run through the Holidays and maybe through Jan. When does the show wrap up? I always struggle through the holidays!

Also, my motivation is my kids. I see how obesity is really affecting our children and I want to be a good example. Plus if you don't use it, you lose it. I figured that out with this knee surgery & I want to remain active for many yrs to come!

Madness here today and a big office project to work on, but I had to officially make the announcement.

Week 1 WISH Biggest Loser challenge team results

#1 The Black Team 1.41 %

To beat them we would have had to lose an additional 42 pounds!

#2 The Blue Team 1.04 %

To beat them we would have had to lose an additional 19 pounds!

#3 The Red Team 0.785 %

Yes team we lost miserably this week. I know I could have done better and I will get myself together for the team. We can not have another showing like that next week. Let's all work a little harder this week. I will issue the same challenge the others team have issued for the week.

Red Team Challenge

This week drink 64 ounces of water a day. This does not include soda, diet soda, or juice. Water only, I include the volume of my melted ice cubes (for me 16 = 8 ounces), 8 oz of crystal lite is acceptable for one cup of water.

Red Team Question of the Day

This week we are not the Biggest Losers. How do you feel about that Red Team? What will you personally do differently this week to help us become #1?

Me first - I am devastated. I take everything personally and feel like it is all my fault. I am glad all 34 members checked in for the week, we did not lose anyone. The other teams had members that did not report their week 1 weight. I feel I have let my team down. I did not motivate you enough to make you feel like your contribution was important to the team. For us to win this we ALL need to be working at 100% and I know I was not doing that last week. I am working on a stressful project with a looming deadline right now and I just want FOOD! I will conquer those cravings because what I do will affect the team. I will drink my water for the rest of the week and exercise every day. I have to do this for the team. I do not want to be humiliated again next week.

WE CAN DO THIS!! Let's work on one day at a time and do our best everyday.

Have a healthy day!

I kinda had a crappy first week, but my work schedule is wrecking havoc on me. Back on track now (still bad work schedule but I know know how to work around that to stay on track). I had a mini weight loss, but I'll take even 1 ounce less. As long as I don't gain I'm going in the right direction.

Tomorrow is official weigh in day at WW (usually today, but plans got changed for me).

special hugs to Michelle today as she has knee surgery. I hope all goes well and you're back with us soon.

EDITED TO ADD: By Nancy For the water challenge, weight watchers says that you can include decaf beverages as part of your water intake...so if you must drink tea or coffee go for the decaf. Just stay away from anything carbonated....BAD water if it has bubbles!

hey don't balme yourself, we are a team! As long as we all checked in and we had an overall loss we did not lose!

Look at it this weigh (way...ha ha play on words)

usually you lose the biggest amount of weight in week 1 of a diet, it slows down after that...so I think there are a few of us that have been dieting for a bit so we have leveled off. The other 2 teams had huge losses, they will slow down this week...BUT WE will be losing at the same level.

GO RED TEAM!!

WE CAN GET IT DONE!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Sorry for not checking in sooner, we are getting ready to open a new restaurant in the company and they are doing all of the training at my store it has been creazy!! Anyway I can not believe that I was in the top 5 for the first week that is so exciting. Hopefully it will keep me motivated to keep going this time.
Brenda I am just following the WW Flex Points Plan. This is the third time that I am trying it I always do really well the first couple of weeks, and then I lose my motivation. So my goal this time is too stick to it for the long run.
Congrats to everyone! Next week Red Team Will Be #1
:cool1:

Good Luck Everyone,
Thresa

tmeyer (Thresa),
I am so proud of your accomplishment this week. You work at a fast food restaurant and still managed to lose weight this week, and you were the Red Team Biggest Loser. You are quite an inspiration. Keep up the hard work, it is worth it.

Welcome to todays new team member Pyrateswife (Lisa). Her starting weight is recorded (sorry Lisa I missed it the first time around) and she is ready to go to help the Red Team to victory in week 2.

So ladies, stop by and chat. How are things going? I'm drinking my water are you?

I don't know aobut you guys, but I don't like losing (unless it's pounds:rolleyes: ) I will try to do much better this week!

I think getting in the water is a good goal for this week.

I got a water "bottle" with a straw at Target that holds 16 oz and I've finished 2 of those so far today, so I'm half-way there! There's just something about a straw that seems to make the water disappear faster.:confused3 :thumbsup2

I also think I will work more on getting enough rest. I know that part of the reason I tend to drink more diet pepsi than water is that I need the caffeine to stay awake. I tend to get caught up in the computer or housework once the kids are in bed. I'm going to try to get to bed by 11 o'clock every night and see if that helps. I've read somewhere that not getting enough rest slows your metabolism and mine certainly doesn't need to get any slower!:scared:

I will step up my exercise for the team. This past week I skipped a couple of nights because of weather and stroller issues. This week I will walk every night and every morning. The 10 day forecast only shows 1 day with showers so I should be able to get out every day. I also will go up and down the stairs at least 4-5 times each hour, this worked well for me in the past. As an added bonus, water drinking is no problem after all that stair climbing!

I will weigh and measure and journal my food and include at least 5 colorful fruits and veggies in my meals. I will stay away from processed foods and white carbs.

Hopefully I'll lose at least 3lbs next week! I will work extra hard for the team....The only thing I like to lose is pounds!

Does flavored water count? I love grape Propel & Fruit2O. :)

Magical Mom - (???),

In my opinion as long as it doesn't contain a lot of chemicals or the dreaded high fructose corn syrup it can count as water.

BTW where are you in DE? I am near Salisbury, MD just closer to Ocean City along Rt 50. Hasn't the weather been heavenly the past two days?

Have a healthy day.

I didn't see the water challenge until now. I did notice today that I had a tougher time while I was doing my walking...probably because I didn't drink enough water. That should help me to stick with the water challenge.

As far as how I feel about the red team losing this week....it is what it is. At least we lost weight this week which is what ultimately this is all about. Just remember they're gonna eventually have a TOM too. Then we'll be able to catch up. :lmao:
