Bit of romance in a Friday night...

Just wanted to share- I just got "officially" engaged!!! I'm so happy I can't even explain- even tho we have done things kinda backwards I wouldn't change a thing!! My DF and I officially met with DFTW in2009 but knew there was no way we could afford a DFTW or engagement ring yet, so started to plan without it! Ladies, all I can say is that good things truly come to those who wait!! I am soooo happy!! Came home tonight after work to the following things which were disguised as a late valentine as we both had flu on the 14th: bath, rose petals on bed in a heart shape- anyway, I got ready dried my hair, no make-up and went downstairs - then Bruno Mars just the way you are came on, and I looked into my living room- our house is tiny!- and saw my DF on one knee, candles lit everywhere, roses, champage, plus he had cooked(?!?!?lol) and he proposed!!! He was crying when he asked me which is soooo not him, and I cried and accepted, and then our yorkie started barking as he didn't know what was going on!! And, it was just PERFECT!!! Happy Disney everyone! I've had some champagne, but I'm certainly not apologising for that fact!

Hi everyone! I'm a bit overwhelmed today- waking up officially engaged, and then looking on these boards at all the sweet comments from everyone- thanks so much We really couldn't be happier- our families are really happy and we are going out for food tonight with everyone when my DF finishes work. I have a bit of a champagne head, but I think that's ok!! Lol
