Anyone know the difference between the two French restaurants?
WE have ADR's for the Chef one...but just heard about the Bistor upstairs....
any comments or suggestions?
Thanks

I've not been to either, but I researched them before I called this morning to make my adr at chef's. I think the Bistro upstairs is more geared towards adults and a little fancier. They don't have a children's menu and from what I read, children would feel pretty unwelcome there!

Thanks for the tip...
I think we'll stay where we are at. ApPpreciate your research
Bon apetite! :thumbsup2

The upstairs is not only fancier, but much more expensive and definitely not geared towards kids.

It is one of my favorite places (we'll be there Saturday). If you ever get the chance, try it...it's definitely an "experience".

BTW...we LOVE the downstairs as well. It's just that I'm a foie gras freak and they only have that upstairs.

I like both and have never had a bad experience at either. Bistro is fancier, more intimate, smaller, quieter, and more expensive. Chefs is not as fancy and larger.

Thanks for all the replies I think we'll stick with the Chef's since we'll have 4 DK with us!
Any recommendations for me. I don't eat meat, but do LOVE seafood!

Thanks

I'm interested in the comparison also. Is it correct that the Bistro is NOT on the DDP? I have ADRs for Chefs for our December trip. Our youngest is 15 and used to eating in nicer restaurants. I'd be interested in Bistro but I don't see it listed on the DDP.

Thanks for posting the question and thanks for any answers!

Bistro is a fine dining restaurant serving modern French food in an intimate and romantic atmosphere. The food and service are excellent, but it is pretty expensive. Bistro isn't on DDP.

Chef's de France is a Bistro/Brasserie style restaurant (and is very authentic in decor and atmosphere) serving more traditional regional French food. The food here is also excellent. Chef's is on the DDP.

the tables at chefs are pretty close together in the interior section. with a 4 yr old, I'd hold out for a separate table with chairs, as opposed to one which has bench seating for part of it.

Bistro is wonderful to get the last reservation of the day, then watch Illuminations from a table by the window.

we ate at the bistro around 9 years ago and loved it. it was just dh and I and it was so romantic and just a wonderful dinner.

I have never eaten at chefs, but from what I can tell its a much more hectic/louder atmosphere.
