DH and I want to celebrate my being cancer-free during our trip to WDW in December by eating someplace we've never been. I tried my hardest for the Chef's Table w/o luck (however, we are on the waiting list). We'll put DS in one of the kid's clubs that evening, so this will be an adult meal.

If given the choice of Bistro De Paris, Narcoossee's or Citrico's, which would you pick and why? Food quality is our #1 priority.

TIA!

ETA: "Citricos at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is open for dinner 7 days a week through September 27, 2008." What day(s) is it normally closed?

Not on your list, but I would choose California Grill. :thumbsup2 Great location and good food.

Just wanted to send my best wishes:yay: :woohoo:  on being cancer free

and also a little pixie dustpixiedust: I think it wonderful your are going to celebrate with a special dinner.
I have never eaten at any of the resturants, but planning on Nacoosee's on our trip in Sept 2009.

I also send a big congratulations and my best wishes on your good news!

I would say Bistro for food quality and romantic ambience. Also how about V&A's not at the chefs table? DH and I actually perfer the dining room if we want to have a romantic evening. The table is nice but a different experience and imo either way you can not go wrong.

I also love California Grill as the above poster mentioned.

You deserve the very best after what you must have been through so I will second the idea of doing Victoria & Alberts over all of the rest. My wife and I had our first meal alone as husband and wife and we were blown away! My wife is a very picky eater and when we were seated they presented her with two custom menus. We even got to go back into the kitchen to meet all the chefs. Must do/ No brainer.

Thank you all for your kind words! Being cancer-free rocks!:woohoo:

Just one more chemo treatment to go before this "adventure" comes to a close. I am so looking forward to going to WDW, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else for an occasion such as this. For me, it is TRULY the place where magic lives...princess:

We have eaten at Cali Grill many times, in fact, I already have a ressie for Dec. We always take DS with us. He loves the "sushi" dessert and the view. I chose Narcoossee's, Citrico's and Bistro because these are the places I have heard good things about but never seem to get to.

V&A is a definite possibility (although I still have my fingers crossed for the Chef's Table).

Citrico's is typically closed Monday and Tuesday, but they extended the hours to 7 nights for awhile when 1900 PF was under refurb last year. This year they went to 7 nights for the Memorial Day - July 4 stretch, then announced 7 nights through the end of "free dining". We're going there for my birthday next week! :goodvibes

We're also going to Narcoosee's for the first time, so I can report back on both of them! :thumbsup2

Narcoosees has the most amazing cheesecake I have ever tasted..ALmund encrusted cheesecake.. The tables by the water allow a beautiful view and if you book near fireworks time you get a nice show.

I have only eaten at Bistro of the three you are considering. It is a lovely, leisurely dinner experience with great food and service. They offer a tasting menu that gives you a chance to try lots of things in one evening.
Congratulations!!! :yay: :yay:

If food is primary, Citrico's. The food at Bistro is a bit "heavy" for me, and tho the food isn't bad, we had service issues the last few meals at Narcoossee's

narcoosees - the view, the beautiful interior, the classiness - oh, and the food's not too shabby! - crabcakes, lobster and the best ever dessert: almond crusted cheesecake! worth the trip there alone!!

Narcoosee's...we have always had excellent service, great food and a beautiful view of wishes. They also have a wonderful wine list. Congrats:thumbsup2

I vote for Narcoosee's! We just ate there this week ... we had an 8:00 reservation and were finishing dessert when the fireworks started ... they dim the lights in the restaurant and pipe in the Wishes' music. It truly was a magical way to end our trip.

Just came back from Narcoossee's & Cirtico's and loved both you can't go wrong. But like one of the other poster's said Cali Grill just ate there to. Great food and astmosphere! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Enjoy your trip and God Bless you with your health always :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Congrats on being cancer free. My sister has been cancer free for almost 2 years after a very long battle. WDW was our special family vacation we tried to go every year and it was the one week we could forget about all the problems.

Anyways I vote for Citricos then Bistro. Citricos is one of our favorites and the food has always been top notch. Bistro is a close second. It's always quiet and romantic up there. Narcoossee's is our least favorite of those. Everytime we've been it just hasn't been that great.

Congratulations and God bless!

We'll be hitting two of those (Bistro and Narcoossee's) in August, and I'll be sure and report back.

I've eaten at all 3 on many occasions and hands down, Bistro is the best of these.

And congrats on the cancer free celebration. We are going to Disneyland Paris in 2 months for the celebration of the end of my treatments.

I just want to say thank you again to everyone for your well wishes and for the congrats! I DID IT! :cool1: This afternoon was the very last treatment. I send out good thoughts to those of you who are undergoing treatment. It's not easy, that's for sure, but there is light at the end of the tunnel!!

It's looking like Narcoossee's is getting a lot of good reviews, as well as Bistro. I guess I'll have to look over the menus again. Thanks for your input!!!

NARCOOSSEE wonderful views excellent food [i'm a carnivore!] and good service IMHO, and sumptuous desserts :thumbsup2

sorry, can't give you advice on the food, just wanted to pass on love and best wishes from the UK :grouphug: Well Done You. Enjoy your hols
