Biscuit's Grand Adventure | An epic tale three decades in the making!

Oh my goodness.... You are HILARIOUS!! I LOVED this last update. I've never read a trip report where the adventures at the airport on the way home were just as fun as the Disney stuff!:rotfl2:

So sorry to hear about all the delays... so hard to deal with, let alone with two sleepy kids in tow!

I just loved your explanation of driving away from Pop... I go through the same emotions (and watch the resort until I can see the last bit of it) every time we leave, too.

Sure hope you and your family can return soon!

I'm so glad I got all caught up before your TR closed, GB. I have so enjoyed reading about your exploits at WDW with your family. Every installment was worth reading, and all your pictures were just gorgeous! :lovestruc You've made me laugh so many times I couldn't count them if I had to. I'm hoping your next trip will be sooner rather than later, so you can start the whole process again.

Happy Valentine's Day to all the Biscuits and their readers !!
Thanks Rosie! Happy Valentines Day to you too!

Hey Sooze! Thanks so much for reading along! I think the most frustrating thing about the delays was knowing I could have had more Disney time. That drive out of the resort is killer isn't it?

Hey Amanda! Great news to hear Piper was home and doing well. I cant to hear all about your Wish trip. Thanks for reading along!

GB, you are just a funny man. Beautiful family and a wonderful trip. So glad you can shared those magical moment and gassy moment with us. :rotfl:

At least you only got delay for a few hours on your return flight. Not too bad. If you seated at the back of the plane, then maybe you can help speed up the plane a bit to make up the lost time. :rotfl2:

Looking forward for the Bonus Feature.

BTW, Happy New Year!!!

Same to you Rose!! Hope you had an amazing trip!!
I can't wait to read all about Rosie's trip.

Thanks topdog! I probably could have assisted with our forward momentum! Happy New Years to you too. Is this the the year of the Tiger now? (I'm an Ox you know.)

Not as such. But a fellow can dream.

Aw, bummer!! I do look forward to the Bonus Features to hear what you and Tracy discussed on it though! :goodvibes

Soon the only remaining sights were the tops of the bowling pins and then, it was gone.

I was sad that we were leaving, but so very thankful for the week that we had enjoyed. This trip had been incredible. It had met and exceeded my lofty expectation. As we rode back the airport, I asked Tracy if the trip was any better than the honeymoon. She assured me there was no comparison.

You had me tearing up here! That feeling of your resort disappearing behind you, a sad smile on your face...that moment is wonderful, reflecting back with all those memories, but so hard to bear saying good-bye knowing your vacation is nearly complete.

It was also then that I discovered fact of life number three thousand six hundred and five. A good fart transcends language barriers. The family of foreign origin was now laughing themselves silly.

:rotfl:

Our three hour flight, one hour time change, plus our wait for our luggage and the airport shuttle resulted in us arriving at our car at 2:45 AM. From there it was an hour drive to my sister’s house and we finally crashed at four. Not exactly the finish I had hoped for.

Oh, man...not fun! It's a rude awakening to the real world. :sad2:

Loved it GB - wonderful ending to your adventure!

We have a dream...reality is still being debated.

It is def a bitter sweet moment. You know your vacation has ended, but you also know what a great time you've had.

Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own trip report, or whether that station shall fall to another, these pages must show.

I so well remember these poignant and pregnant lines so many months ago. I must say with firm conviction that you indeed have ended as the hero of your own tale- you and Tracy are true heros, if there ever were any!!

Your girls are very blessed- and hence you are as well. I have a feeling this is not the last we've heard of the Biscuit Clan and their adventures together! ;)

Bless you all!!

Liesa

I've been following since you started. Great writing! Thanks for sharing.

What a great trip! Always nice to read another Pop TR, brings back the memories and gets us excited for our next adventure, whenever that may be. Sorry for your delay, but be glad you were not cancelled. We had to find another hotel for a night, then do the whole airport thing again. Yuck! We loved seeing how much your girls were into the trip, with minimal meltdowns! Can't wait until the next Biscuit adventure!

GreatBiscuit,

I have followed your trip report from it start, but haven't commented much. However, now that it is coming to a close, I feel the need to share. When I found your trip report, back at the beginning of Feb 2009 (shortly after its start), I had just found out I was pregnant with our first child. I now have a 4.5 month old son who has brought so much joy to our lives. Thank you for helping me through the whole process with your story. You certainly kept me laughing. I can't wait to bring my son on his first trip, and can only hope we have as magical a one as your family did!

Howdy and :welcome: I loved the POP. I was worried we'd wind up spending the night as well. I kept thinking we'd be called up for vouchers.

Hey Kimberly! First of congrats on the new addition! That's awesome! Looking forward to hearing how his first trip goes! I'm sure it will be magical!

GB,

WOW!!! I don't have the words to describe how great it's been to read along your TR. I laughed, I cried, I cheered along! You certainly have prevailed as the hero of your tale!! :) Awesome job!

I'm sad it's over (well...bonus features notwithstanding), but I'm so glad that you and your beautiful family had a fabulous trip!

Thanks so much for sharing!! :goodvibes

:sad1: Really? It's done? Over? Finished? :sad2:

Thank you, thank you, thank you GB for bringing us along - this has been an amazing journey!

Except for the fried cabbage fumigation. That wasn't remotely amazing. In fact, I'd say that was entirely foreseeable and anti-climactic. :rotfl:

But this - this is just beautiful...

My lamp burns low, and I have written far into the night; but the dear presence, without which I were nothing, bears me company.

O Tracy, O my soul, so may thy face be by me when I close my life indeed; so may I, when realities are melting from me, like the shadows which I now dismiss, still find thee near me pointing upward.
:goodvibes

I SO understand! It's hard.
Dang skippy!

It has been my pleasure.

Yeah, First Lady Biscuit gave me an eyeroll and said "That's gross. I don't know why put that in there." But in the spirit of accuracy, it had to go in.
But this - this is just beautiful...

:goodvibes
And that's why David Copperfield is my favorite novel.

Nothing funnier than a good fart story. And although the anticipation has been building up (no pun intended), you didn't disappoint. As far as the fart knowing no language barriers...let's just say I've entertained a few Germans in my day. :rolleyes1

I absolutely loved your epic journey of Disney throughout your life. This has been a wonderful read. I think I fell in love with your family!

Thank you so much for sharing your history with us. This has been one of the best trip reports I've ever read.
