Thanks Cynthia! Well said.what a wonderful update!!!
I was SO touched by your poncho moment, truly above and beyond the CM call of duty and I even more moved by your "aha" moment. What a beautiful thing to have caught yourself like that and seized that moment. Self awareness is more than half the battle and you certainly won that night!
Hey Marita! Im going to miss interacting with you guys too. Ill still be around though.Joining in the chorus of sniffling to Bill and HIsta moments.
Hate to see your trip coming to an end. We will all miss you!
Thanks Topdog!A very nice update indeed.Sounds like you certain got sprinkle with the magic dust. What a way to end the trip!! It couldn't happen to a more well deserve family.
I use Fuji Chrome 400. Part of the saturation may be in the scans. I had them make me CDs when I had it developed. Since digital photos are still a learning curve for me, I usually just do the Auto Correct thing. What kind of film did you use? The color is somewhat saturate. I think you might've inspire me to break out my 30 yrs old Nikon FM and give the film photography one more try on my next Disney trip. Recently, I just found a roll of unused Kodak slide at my office. It's already expired for 11 yrs.I think I will give it a try just for the fun.
Looks like Glennbo already answered this one.If you can, please tell me a little more about renting the DVC points. How did that work and where do you start looking for them or who do you rent it from? My DW and I were talking about our Disney trip for next Christmas. Perhaps we might take my SIL and her grand daughter to go with us in the future. I am wondering how is that compare to tradition booking directly from WDW.
Thanks Glenn! If you don't mind my chiming in here...
There's a good primer on this thread --> http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1255828
Then, if you go back out to the main listing of all of the DIS forums, and page down to the DVC area, there's a "DVC-Rent/Trade" forum where people post when they have points available. You can contact them and see if you can work out an agreement.
You can figure out how many points you'd need by looking at the point charts. Go into that Rent/Trade forum, and up at the top of the page, under the Timeshare Store (sponsor) banner, you should find a link to "DVC Point Charts". These will show the point requirements, per night, for the various resorts, room categories, and seasons of the year. Most people rent their points for about $10/point.
Details.Lions are nocturnal...they do not sleep at night. So the song is all jacked up.
I was not In the know.Okay, you go the the BEST restroom at WDW and don't even check it out...? Oh wait, this is before you knew it was the best (maybe 2nd best now) kept secret...
Howdy andIt just can't be the last day! What a fantastic trip and a great report! Thanks!![]()
Awesome! Id love to go spend a day poking around their shop! When I lived in NYC my church was next door to B&H. The store is incredible! A lot of fun to go all-out geek in. It's run by Orthodox Jews, the guys you see wearing the long black coats, black hats, with the long beards and curls. The nickname of the store is "Beards & Hats"(not meaning to be offensive AT ALL).
I am glad to hear you got good service from them! We have purchased a few things from them in the past, and I have an acquaintance in NYC who films for all sorts of things (mostly educational documentaries that take her to Africa and all sorts of cool places!) and she buys everything from them because they are so good to work with!![]()
Welcome Back! Im so glad you had an awesome trip. I cant wait to read the TR! (=I'm back! We had an awesome trip. Maybe the best, yet. Can't wait to start my next report and tell you all about it. I'm glad I didn't miss the end of yours! Wow, three parks in one day is amazing! Good job pulling that one off! We could never do it with our big group. You had a couple of really touching moments, this day. I'm so glad you squeezed Illuminations in, too. That one is definitely a must see in my opinion. I just love it. The music and the incredible finale always get me pumped. Sorry you didn't quite make it to Test Track, but the one on one time you ended up getting with your daughter is priceless!
LOL. Ive gone back and edited about ½ of the older episodes to correct for typos and such. I guess I need to go finish up.I loved that episode!! Too funny!! I think when I have about 2 weeks of free time on my hands I'll go back and read the whole thing again. It's been quite a saga somewhat on par with Gone with the Wind. Pun intended.
Its easy to get caught up in the rush. Im so glad I had that moment to remind me of why I was there. Cracking up over DD.G.B., great day, and outstanding update!I love your ah-ha moment with the baby. Now I just wish I could keep those thoughts in my head the whole time I'm in the "World." I am making a strong effort this time to really smell the roses while we're there, no commando style with the family, only alone.
By the way....I tell my kids about some of the TR's on here and some of the funny things written, and my dd10 wanted to know why you call yourself G.B.?? When I told her the story, she laughed with delight and thought it was really funny. She's such a goof.....she fits in around here juuuust fine.![]()
No prob! Doing the dance with you!A 120 Days! A 120 Days!!! Sorry to hi-jack, I just had to share that with someone!!

What she said.WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh!!!

Thanks WGM! I think the photo reminds me of the type of humor made famous on the TR board.Great updates made even better by poncho pixie dust!It doesn't seem like it should be the last day already.
And why am I loving the picture of the rhino in the mud so much??![]()
Yeah While Ill be glad when the tantrum years are gone, the eye rolling phase is definitely not something Im looking forward to.I am so impressed you managed to do three parks and close out Epcot with EMH with just one meltdown (and I would have cried if the same thing happened to my princess poncho and I'm an adult!). Most days my kids couldn't even leave the hotel room without a meltdown. I'm looking forward to going back with my two oldest this summer. They are older so I'm hoping that means less meltdowns. More pre-teen eyeball rolls though.

I've seen that look.Aw yes...the years of..."Your so stupid I can't believe you can breath on your own" Look.<--- along with this of course.
Hey Burly! Always glad to have you. Bill definitely got his magic on.I'm like the White Rabbit, always late.
Great updates GB! funny sweet and Bill! gotta love that CM goodness.
Thanks! It was an awesome moment.I loved your updates! OMG, I started to choke up a little when they brought your DD a poncho...that's the Disney we all fell in love with. The CMs really know how to make a day magical.
I am so sorry to see that we're almost done. I am enjoying the crap out of this epic TR of yours.
Howdy andAaah! I CANNOT believe I didn't find this TR thread until now. And you're already on the last day of your trip.
Talk about arriving fashionably late!
I've managed to get through everything in the past few days, and I gotta tell you...you have a way with words! You've hooked me into your vacation as if I was there, and your family is beautiful!
I especially enjoy reading of your trials and tribulations to get to the World...I myself have hit many a road block. Finally a few years ago when I was just 16, I pooled my money together with a friend and I took my first ever trip to Disney (at POP, in fact!). Better late than never right? Now I'm struggling to get another trip in...your TR is holding me over until I get to see the Mouse again.
Well, I'm glad to be onboard for at least the finale. Keep it up!![]()
Howdy &Just wanted to say hi and that I'm enjoying your trip report. I'm not through it all yet but I am really liking your humor. It's so nice that you had many great moments with your family.
I also want to stay at Wilderness Lodge someday. And for values I really do want to try Pop, one of the big reasons is the tie-dye cheesecake!
I hope at some point you get to try Rockin' RollerCoaster and Tower of Terror. TOT is one of my favorites in all of WDW.
I also hope you (and myself) have many more trips to the World.
