Birthday's Celebration at DL

I have read the info about bi
rthday's at DL and what's available. My question is has anyone done the My DL Birtday Party? I have two friends that will be celebrating their 40th birthday next month. I would love to surprise them and please know they are super Disney geeks, like all of us! What do you think? Fun? Not so fun?

yep ive done it and i wasnt impressed...the only thing i liked is that I got a little bit of one on one time with Mickey because there wasnt a lot of people for that party....years ago when they used to do it over by space mountain, it was the bomb but since they have moved it over by Plaza Inn its not so great...they give you party hat, souvenir cup this little cake and icing and candies in a plastic mickey head for you to decorate and the host is Pat E Cake and he said jokes and told stories and then Mickey and Minnie came out and we all sang happy birthday to everybody then got our picture taken with them...there are many things I have done and dont ever repeat but I always say the same thing to people who have never done it...you should try it...and the fact that you are wanting to surprise them with it I think thats nice and regardless of how cheesy it is they will love you for doing it and hey, who wouldnt love spending time with Mickey ???

We've done it and are going again this month. My son remembered it from his fourth birthday and apparently loved it. That said it wouldn't be my choice for my birthday, and I personally feel its more aimed at kids. But it could be fun if your friends like goofing around and don't take it seriously.
