Hopes that helps those planning a birthday celebration at Disneyland! :D

It was from way back in 2002:3dglasses But I'm guessing that maybe, just maybe some of the info in here my still apply? Specifically, I'm very interested in the Plaza birthday thing.;)

The last I heard the Plaza Inn birthday party was up to $15.99 per person. We did it 5 years ago when my DD turned 4 (and it was $10.00). She really enjoyed it. Mickey and Minnie make an appearance (they don't sign autographs though). Everyone gets a little cake to decorate and a cup with punch (that's how it was 5 years ago at least!). We thought it was fun and worth it for $10, now that it's more expensive we would probably just do a character meal instead. :goodvibes

We didn't enjoy the birthday party.....for the money, we could have done better & had way more fun at a character meal. The cakes were dry, the frosting is brightly colored & dyed my daughters eyebrow red. Mickey & Minnie will pose for a picture but no autographs. It lasts about an hour. For that price you can get a kids character meal & have lots of character interaction plus a good meal.

we did the party one year for me an my son but i wouldnt do it again the cakes were ok but could have been better. Tho its a fun thing to do an we did it for 10 a person now 15 not sure i would.

We just did our own thing.. I knew what DD liked and planed special stuff on her special day

We love the party. For us, it's a tradition and we have images of us with Mickey and Minnie from every year. From what I understand, this is the only way to get an image with both of them together.

Yes, the cakes are dry, but if you are ok with putting on a party hat and congoing around with Pat E Cake, it's a lot of fun.

They usually are at 2:00 in the afternoon. The hour you spend sitting down is usually a nice "rest" time for us. We love the drink cups. They have this great straw and lid. We take them home and use them as kid cups.

Is it worth the cost? It's a toss up. On crazy busy times it is your ticket to Mickey with no line. :)

Thanks all for the great input!:goodvibes

I think at $15.99, it just doesn't sound like a good value. Perhaps at $10 I would have been more inclined to give it a try....

Guess I will just keeping looking for good birthday ideas!
