My friend and I are taking our daughters to Disney, we are arrivng on my bday. We arrive around 2 in the afternoon and I think we are going to Epcot for the afternoon. ANy fun suggestions for making the day a little more special? We are staying at pop century.

You could make an ADR for dinner at the Bistro De Paris, note that it will be your birthday at the time you make the ressie, and request a window seat - depending on when illuminations begins (usually around 9 or 9:30), make the ADR for about one hour before that time, and you will be able to stay and watch the show from your table.

Is your trip this year? If so, don't forget you can get free admission for yourself, a birthday fun card worth $79, or birthday fast passes. If not, well.... ;) You could make an ADR at the Rose & Crown and request patio seating timed for Illuminations, we did that in 2008 and it was awesome.

We are going in 2010. I didn't realize that the birthday thing was only for 2009, until we booked. But Oh well. Thank you for the suggestions. I will check them out. Is the Illuminations every night?

Yep, every night at 9 p.m. Last week we watched from the France/UK bridge which turned out to be a very good location. It's good to check which way the wind is blowing before you decide where to view.
