BUSY day here also, I haven't even addressed things you said re- other vacation plans and things discussed on my thread ( my apologies ! ) we'll get our " stuff" together soon, we HAVE too !

Like Mo said your knee will be good, I don't have personal experience with it, but know plenty of people that have had the surgery..pretty common it seems Good planning for caution while at Disney !

Sept 4 Wednesday- head down to the airport after work and spend night at hotel.
Sept 5 - Thursday - Arrive in Orlando about 11 and head to the resort. Drop bags at hotel and head to MK. Dinner at Tony's Town Square at 7:00 pm
Sept 6 - Friday - Epcot - Dinner at Via Napoli at 7:00 pm
Sept 7 - Saturday - HS - Dinner at Sci Fi Dine In at 5:50 pm
Sept 8 - Sunday - Epcot - Dinner at Rose & Crown at 7:50 - stay for Illuminations
Sept 9 - Monday - MK - Dinner at 6:45 at BOG
Sept 10 - Tuesday - HS Or MK - Dinner at 50's Prime Time Diner at 5:10
Sept 11 - Wednesday - AK - Breakfast at Tusker House 8:00 am Wishes Dessert Party at 8:00pm
Sept 12 - Thursday - Dinner at Cape May Café at 5:15 not sure which park we will be in other than Epcot
Sept 13 - Friday - no specific plans except MNSSHP at 4:00
Sept 14 - Saturday - MK - lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern at 12:00 - Back at the resort by 4 to get on the bus to head home

Most of these plans are subject to change, but these are our dinner plans for sure.

remember the brace.. and a zip lock back for ice... a tight brace is going to help a lot with the pain.

we normally try to take a limo on the way to the airport. just because of the ease... Also i can find some really cheap nice limos here in Chicago!!
i hope you get a nice room the night before AND a great nights sleep!

Ruthie, we should plan on Friday, since we will both be there at the same time. We can coordinate time/place when we get a little closer.

Mo - stalk away! I will have my Kindle with me and my phone, so I can post updates, as I remember.

The brace is packed. I will have ziplock bags, and I have my pain meds if I need them. So far, the knee is behaving, but I haven't been doing a lot of walking over the weekend.

Kat is doing well, just waiting to hear about her base posting.

We live about an hour from the airport. Its just easier to drive and park, and probably cheaper too. Though the one year, AirTran changed us to an earlier flight and we arrived back home just in time for rush hour traffic on a Friday. It took close to 2 hours to get home that night. A limo would be fun though!

We are having a cookout next weekend, so I spent part of this weekend cleaning the house. Still have stuff to do, but at least the first floor is clean.

I also reorganized the suitcases, putting everything I have so far in. Mine is nearly full, but Charlie's isn't, thank goodness. I still have shoes and toiletries to add. I packed a third suitcase with the costumes and other stuff, like snacks, my bags, power strip, plastic bags, etc..

Okay, back to work....

Not much new to update. I finally finished all the handsewing I needed to do on the pirates costumes and they are all packed and ready to go. I just have last minute things left to put in the bags before we close them up!

Right now, my focus is on the party on Sunday. Have lots to get done between now and Sunday morning, but if it doesn't get finished who will know besides me???

I have been totally swamped at work. I brought one of my projects home to finish up on Monday. It has to be in the mail on Tuesday. I have a couple more plans to review before I leave also. They have deadlines, so I need to get the comments out before I leave on Wednesday. Reservations are made for the dogs at doggie camp, and the hotel reservation for Wednesday is done. Still need to stop the paper & mail and notify the PD to check on the house occasionally.

Knee is ok. Not terribly painful, but it lets me know it is there on occasion.

Kat is scheduled to move to the Wounded Warrior housing on Wednesday.

Thank you both for the birthday wishes! We had a great time on Sunday, with most of the family in attendance. Weather was hot as blazes here - guess it was a good test for our trip. We are packed, except for those last minute things to go in the bags.

Charlie decided he needed to get a new notebook yesterday, and then asked me to make a case for it. WHAT?????? Ok, so I did make an envelope type case to protect it because he wants to take it on the trip! Luckily it fits in his backpack.

The doggies go to doggie camp tomorrow and when I finally get home from work, we will head down to Baltimore and stay in a hotel near the airport. Our flight leaves at 8:15 am.

I still have a bunch of stuff to finish up at work and also have 2 meetings that will take up at least 1/2 the day.

Kat was here on Sunday with her parents. She is moving into the WW housing tomorrow. She will be getting some pt for her hand and arm and also some speech therapy. She told them she wants to have a job and they asked if she could answer phones. She laughed and told them no. She still has some aphasia - the disconnect between the brain and the actual speech - though it has improved tremendously.

I will try to keep up some posting during the trip.

Getting ready to head out the door. Knee is doing well, though it still lets me know it is there occasionally. LOL.

Kat did move today. She says her room is FANTASTIC!!!! - her exact expression. She is anxious to move on to the next steps in her recovery and to get back to work.
