Hello hope everyone is having a good weekend :)

Whilst in WDW I will be celebrating my birthday and wondered if anyone had any suggestions for a nice meal in the evening.

I don't really want to go off property and the only place that is really out of the question is V&A as don't want to add a jacket for my DH to the luggage for one night.

During the day will prob eat at 50s prime time as I enjoy the service there and my DH has never been.

We are on the QSDP so will be paying OOP for the meal.

Any suggestions welcome :)

I really like Citricos (in the GF); we're trying teh Yaughtsman for the first time this year as our 2 credit meal; OOP the menu looks way too expensive though. I guess it depends on whether you are looking for romance or whimsy!!!

I had a lovely birthday meal at Yachtsman Steakhouse. They gave me a specially printed menu with my name on it and a special birthday desert.

Probably the best meal we have ever had at Disney based on the quality of the food and the service was at Todd English's Bluezoo at the Dolphin.
It is expensive but, IMO, justifiably so.
Next best for us would be Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge followed by Bongo's at DTD West Side

DS will be there for his 18th in July, gave him the choice of anywhere he wanted to eat, onsite or offsite, he chose Grand Floridian Cafe, in the past we have enjoyed the food, service and surroundings as much as any Signature restaurant, hope its as good this year.

Thanks for all the replies :)

Still not sure what to do lol there is too much choice.

Its hard booking in advance as you don't know what you will be in the mood for near the time.

I love my food and can appreciate paying a lot for a good meal and nice romantic atmosphere, but on the other hand I would also enjoy something like Hoop Dee Doo on my birthday or a meal followed by something else like illuminations or fantasmic.

Too many choices :confused3

I was there for my birthday last year ... we love asian food and my partner is veggie - we ate at Tokyo Dining ... it was lovely, they made me feel special and we timed the reservation to walk out and watch Illuminations - it was a nice evening

If you are eating at 50s Prime Time during the day then i dont think you will want a heavy meal in the evening, 50s is good wholesome (filling) fare.I would try somewhere like GFC, Citricos or California Grill.Go onto www.allears.net and have a look at the menus and reviews. For me to end my birthday watching Wishes would be a dream come true:goodvibes

We love the california Grill at the contemporary and if you time it right you can watch wishes from there now that would be a great birthday meal. We have been a few times and even when we paid oop it was more than worth it.

Otherwise teppan edo was great and again time it right and you could be out in time for illuminations. Again good food and service and a fun show.
Good view from Japan of illuminations.

DH suggested eating at the poly so you can watch the fireworks from the beach. We did that last year and watched Hallowishes from there and it was spectacular.

sorry for late reply have been absent from the dis boards for a few weeks as had family down and the work stuff.

Thank you for all your suggestions :)

As the park hours for august are now out EPCOT has the evening EMH on my birthday :yay: this is my favourite park so am happy about this.

I have decided to risk a table at la cantina san angel, I know its a counter service restaurant but it has amazing views of the lake and as we are on the QSDP it means more money for a few birthday drinks whilst watching illuminations :)

I do have an additional question, can you buy drinks from hacienda san angel and bring them next door as the cocktails are nicer than the counter service ones ?
