My daughter has been invited to a birthday party for a 14 year old boy, (they are both seventh graders), and this will be her first time going to a boy/girl party. She really wants to bring a gift that he'll like and one that nobody will think is weird or odd. This is middle school and believe me, social skills are everything! I don't have a clue either as to what a 14 year old boy would like for a birthday gift. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a DD15 and a DS13. In my experience, your best (and safest ;) ) bet would be a gift certificate to a music store, mall or video store, etc. It would be acceptable and I'm sure appreciated!

Agree completely with above posts....She can always put the card in a box of his favorite candies.. you know mix and match.. M+M's, snickers, slim jims, movie size boxes of candy.. just something fun!

Hope she has a great time!

Kissimmee JP- I'm sure that would be HIS first choice for a gift!:)

Thanks for the ideas- a gift certificate is a great idea and I like the idea of putting it in with some candy. Thanks so much for the suggestions!

Well, that would have been my first choice when I was 14. Actually, my wife says that she's raising 3 boys...and we only have 2. Hey, wait a minute...... :teeth:
