Is there anything special that we can do at DL for DD 7th bday? I think I read somewhere about decorating a cookie??? I know that I can get a Birthday Button at the Hub but am hoping for something special she can do that day....

You actually go and get her birthday button at city hall, (which is off the first main hub there in DL). Just wanted to make sure you knew. Other than that, I have not had any other birthday experiences.

As far as the buttons go, I think that you can get a Bday button, 1st visit, and Honeymoon. From reading these boards many have said that you will get special "surprises" and treats if you wear your button in the parks.

Maybe someone with experience can share what happened and/or what other buttons are available to get those experiences.

Do you have to be there ON your birthday? My dd's 5th birthday is on June 28th and we will be there from June 15th to June 19th.

When you go ask for a Bday button they don't ask for any type of proof so you should be able to get a bday button for your son during your visit.

My daughter is going to pick one day that we are visiting for her "bday" special day and we are going to celebrate her bday that day. She'll get all her regular bday presents from us and cake at the hotel and then get her bday button at the park. I know that when a CM sees her with her button they will all wish her happy birthday so that will be a fun day for her.

We're going to be there on my DS 6th birthday in June. Are there any special ways to celebrate at a character meal or something similar?

You can order a birthday bucket to arrive at a meal. It includes some toys inside a themed bucket (princess or Mickey theme) with a minature cake on top. I've also seen servers bring out cupcakes and cookies for the birthday person. I advise asking the PS rep about what options are available.

I was given the princess bucket one on my birthdays a few years back and loved it. Inside the bucket was a pin, comb and brush, and Princess Aurora magnets.

This is Disneyland's official Birthday page for reference:

Hope this helps and have fun! :wizard:

Here is a link to a list of things that you can do to celebrate a birthday at the park. :) The birthday sticker is now a button (which was previously mentioned) and the cost of the birthday party at the Plaza Inn (mentioned in the list) has now gone up from $10 a person to around $15 or $16 a person....I can't remember the exact amount. We celebrated my DS's birthday at the park last year and did breakfast at Goofy's kitchen and then the party at the Plaza Inn. I ordered the birthday bag at Goofy's and they brought it to our table along with balloons, and a cupcake. All the CM's there, along with the Mad Hatter sang Happy Birthday to my DS. It was so much fun. On the way there, I asked the driver of the monorail if my DS could ride up front with him. This can be done at any time, but my DS just loved that being part of his birthday and it was really special for him to do this on the way to his birthday celebration at Goofy's.:)
