We just moved up our vacation from August to May & I'm trying to plan ADR's. My DS's bday is the 28th & I'm trying to figure out somewhere special to eat. We'll be at MGM is the am for Star Wars & having lunch at PTC then switching to Polynesian for the rest of our stay. I originally thought of WCC but thought it might be too "wild" for him. Then Kona which we all love but it doesn't seem special enough. We'll be in MK that night for EE. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What about a "grown-up" place like California Grill and , since you are going to EMH at night, time dinner with the MK fireworks. I hear it is really nice there. Maybe let him pick the place...that alone would make it more special for him.

Have a great trip!!

We were at WDW on my DD 13th birthday also. She chose to go to Whispering Canyon (we had been there before and she liked it). Our server made a real fuss over her and made her ride the little horse around the restaurant singing "Happy Birthday to me". I was really surprised that my DD "played along" as well as she did. She turned bright red, but it made a great story to share with all her friends when she returned home. If you think your son might shy away from all this attention, then I would definitely avoid WCC.

Another restaurant that our children love is Rainforest Cafe...they enjoy the food and the atmosphere there.

Hope you enjoy your trip!

If you are staying at the Polynesian - you could try 1900 Park Fair character dinner. You could order a cake from their bakery 48 hours in advance (you have to pay for it) - 407-824-2578

If your DS is into alot of attention - go for Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Another great place for dinner is O'Hana's at the Ploynesian and then order from roon service the birthday cake package to be delivered to your room for your own private celebration ...

Great ideas everyone, thank you. I'm ruling WCC out. It's not for him. The rest of us loved Ohana's but not DS. I'm probably going to do 1900 PF & order a cake. Does anyone know if they can make an egg-free cake?

O'hana is a great place to have a birthday dinner!!!! That is where I have had a couple birthday dinners! Just ask for a table with a castle view. Try to time it so you can see the fireworks over the castle. :thumbsup2
