Our son will celebrate his 11th birthday in Florida next year:bday: but we will not be near Disney :( . We shall be in Englewood on the Gulf Coast. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do to celebrate, other than driving 3 hours back to Disney! Which Ian flatly refuses to do! Also do you think we could cheat a bit and say it's his birthday on a day we are still in Disney?

Thanks

Welcome to the DIS, Jane and Ian. I'm very glad you found us and I hope you can visit often.

I'm going to move this to our community board for you.

Is your son's birthday very near to the date you will be in Disney?

If his birthday is near when you will be in Disney I would. We have 5 children and DS, 11, has celebrated twice in Disney-both times were on his day. DS who is going to be 9 wants to celebrate his when we are there in October. We decided to do this, surprising him, as his birthday is the week we get back.

We are in Disney from May 28th to June 11th and his birthday is June 15th. Any suggestions? Do you have to prove or disprove it's someones birthday? If not what can we expect from Disney? Do they do cakes, celebrations and if so how do we go about booking something up. Thanks

We told anyone who would listen that it was DD's B-day five days after- she had just otten her appendix out so we figured what the heck! She got a b--day button at the hotel and you can arrange to have happy b- day call for DS.
