Birthday Cake

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but does Disney have the option to have a birthday cake delivered to your room or something similar to this?

Any help would be great!!

If you are staying as a concierge guest at one of the deluxe resorts, the concierge can set this up for you, sometimes a small charge applies, more often it is complimentary.

At deluxe resorts in general, room service should be able to provide this service for a small charge.

At other resorts, I don't believe that they will supply the cake to your room. You would be better off calling the restaurant you will be dining in that evening in advance, and speaking to the manager to make the arrangements for a cake to come to the table. Again, a small fee will likely be applied.

SO NOT wait until you get there, and DO NOT expect that it will happen by mentioning the birthday to the reservationist or front desk person in order to avoid disappointment. If you want the cake, take the initiative in advance to order and be prepared to pay for it on your own.

If your idea of $60 being a small fee for an 8" cake, then I guess so. That's what we were quoted from AKL when we went for a birthday last January.

I made ps's for my son's 9th birthday (5/9...mother's day!) at the Sci Fi in MGM. When I made the ps's, they asked me if I wanted to order a cake (I told them we were celebrating a b-day). They quoted me, I believe, $12 for a cake. They also told me that he would receive a cupcake *free* if I preferred. All I needed to do was tell the CM at the door.

Needless to say, we'll take the cupcake! What would we do with the leftover cake while at MGM anyway?!?
