Where can i get one for my son? We will be there on his birthday and i wanted to get him one of those "it's my birthday" buttons so he can feel a little extra special while in WDW. Can you get them at the hotel? Anyone ever get them, what kind of things have CM's or the hotels done for a birthday?

When we were there for our honeymoon and then again for my daughter's first visit we stopped at City Hall in the Magic Kingdom and they gave us the buttons there. You may want to try there.

I believe that they'll have it at the hotels too. Just tell the CMs when you're checking in that you're celebrating a birthday and I'm sure that they'll be happy to share some magic.

you can get the buttons at any park from guest assistance. they will write your kids name on the pin with marker, but if you are on the trip for a while the name rubs off so bring a prem. marker to re write the name.

we did it this past December for my middle child's almost 2nd birthday and it is SOOOOOOOOOOO worth getting. every CM, every character, every restaurant, every bus driver, every maid said something to him about his button and his birthday. when we were watching the parades they would walk by and say happy birthday.:lovestruc he got special messages put in his autograph book. when you are at dinner and you tell your server they will bring you child a special cake and little place mate or pic with the cake. and if you are at a character meal they all come over and sing happy birthday. it was the coolest thing!!

but what was the best was when we were standing in the exit waiting to go on the teacups with the kids (my oldest DS 9 has CP and Autism) and a wonderful CM came over to talk to us and my kids. She then asked if we wanted to be riders of the day and announced over the Mic that it was both my middle one and my oldest son's UN-birthday and had the entire line sing to them happy UN-birthday. it was the coolest thing ever.

so yes get the button make sure your kid wears it were ever you go and you will really see how magical Disney is.

I just wanted to say that all that you SHOULD expect are many CM's (and even guests!) to wish your child a happy birthday, and that's it. There is no guarantee that your child will get a special cake, ballons, a parade in their honor, made child of the day, or anything else of that sort. While that COULD happen, there are literally thousands of people at Disney on any given day celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation, bar mitzvah, reunion, or other event, and Disney simply can't do something for everyone. There are people who have posted on this board in the past who have noted their child(ren) didn't get anything other than birthday wishes wearing the pin, and some who say their child(ren) got more. It's really random.
