My birthday is on a Monday. We will be at WDW from Saturday - Saturday prior to my birthday. My sister wants to get birthday buttons for me to wear at the parks that week prior to my Monday birthday. Should I wear the birthday buttons when it isn't actually my birthday? Has anyone done this?

Not everybody can celebrate their birthday on the actual day, so SURE - GO FOR IT! party: Yes, others do wear the button on days they are celebrating that may not be the official calendar day of the event. The only suggestion I would make is to not wear it for a full week. IMHO, it just seems more special if you limit it to a day or two. Have a great trip and a :bday:

Where do you go to get the birthday buttons?

I hear they have anniversary buttons too...?

I'd like to know this too. We'll be celebrating my Dad's 75th while we are there (about 2 1/2 weeks PRIOR to his actual birthday, but this is his b-day gift from DSM)... I can't wait to take him to MK and would love him to have a button.

TIA

I think its called City Hall.. or guest services... its right inside the parks... on the left.. that is for MK.. you can get one at each park though! :thumbsup2

You can get them at City Hall in the Magic Kingdom or at Guest Services at the other parks! :goodvibes

I went last year the day after my birthday. I was getting my new AP and the lady gave me my AP and a birthday button and said Happy Birthday :)

So if they give it the day after my birthday, I say go for it! I got all 4 B-day buttons available, and wore them my whole trip (4 days).

So go for it and have fun with it :)

Do they have anniversary buttons? My Mom and Dad will be celebrating their 45th when we go in November. I got them the bride and groom Mickey ears, but would love for them to have a button! My DD and I both have birthdays in October and went last year for MNSSHP and wore our buttons. We had HB sang to us on RNRC and Star Tours and I was serenaded in Italy in Italian! It was probably a once in a lifetime experience for us, so wear the buttons as much as you want and enjoy!

My husband and I just got back. We were celebrating our anniversary. I hadn't planned to get buttons, but we wore shirts that said we were celebrating our anniversary. When we were meeting one of the characters, the photopass guy gave us buttons. He just had them with him. They had mickey and minnie dressed as a groom and bride. It said "Magical Wishes". They don't say anniversary on the ones we got, so most people thought we were on our honeymoon (we've been married five years). Definitely worth getting! Everyone was saying "Congratulations". Lots of special attention. When we got our picture taken with Woody and Jessie, the photographer told them to hold up five fingers for the photo since it was our fifth anniversary.

We're planning a trip next year around hubby's birthday. I'm going to have to make note to get him a button. Thanks for the info!!

The 4 parks have birthday buttons and you can get them at guest serives. Also, Downtown Disney has a birthday button you can get at guest services as well.

And yes, people do where there buttons on days when it is not there birthday.

HAPPY B-Day!!!!!!! :)

Those buttons sound neat! I was there on a solo trip last week, and I was looking at different buttons, since my next trip will be with DH, celebrating our 25th. All the buttons I saw said "generic" things like "Today's my special day" or "Congradulations!" with all the characters. I was thinking of getting the bride ears, but DH won't wear the groom top hat. What I couldn't figure out was that I saw elementary school aged girs wearing the bride ears. I'll bet there's a normal reason, but since I didn't have any daughters, can someone explain to me why a girl that age would wear what looks like bride ears?

We'll be celebrating DD4 5th bday a couple weeks early while we're there. We're doing a princess package at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and having dinner with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare--we'll have to get her a bday button too! Thanks for the info!

She probably just thought they were pretty.
