Birthday Bonanza Dec 6 – 16 – Pretrip

During our last trip in December of 2002 we took a tour with DVC. While we were very impressed with the place and the way it was set up we just weren’t ready for that commitment (and we weren’t crazy about the Wilderness Lodge as that is what was selling then). We went back and forth about it when we got home but decided to not do it.

Our neighbors came home from a trip in the spring of 2003 and had bought into the Beach Club Villas and brought us home some of the paperwork. We called our original guide and ended up deciding to purchase 180 points. This would hopefully get us a 2 bedroom every other year for 8 nights (this is about what we usually do.) As we were going through the process we figured out that when you buy you get last years points and then if we borrowed from next years points we would have enough to get a 2 Bedroom and a studio for 10 nights so we invited my mom and dad, Danny’s dad, and Danny’s sister, husband and their two kids Meagan and Bryce.

We told the Danny’s sisters family they could use our frequent flier miles for airline tickets so they wouldn’t have to pay for air or hotel. We ended up paying for their tickets as we saved those to get us two round trip first class tickets to Hawaii! Danny’s dad decided not to come so it will be the 8 of us for 11 fun filled days and we will get to celebrate both Bryces’ 9th and my 36th birthdays with Mickey. Made a few PS about a month before and patiently counted down the weeks with my Home Depot Mickey Head countdown calendar.

How nice of you to pay for your sister's plane tickets! And lucky you, getting tickets to Hawaii.

Thanks for sharing, I'm off to read the next part.

Nice of you both to pay for you sister's tix.

Hope your going to do a trip report for Hawaii.
