Day 8 Saturday December 13, 2003
Up and off to Animal Kingdom around 9:00. Started out with the first showing of the Lion King fantastic as always and enjoyed watching the sing language interpreters dancing and singing. Off to the safari saw lots of animals but the lions were sleeping. Ate lunch at the Flame Tree it was really good. I got the roasted chicken and Danny got a chicken sandwich we got the meal deal where we could get an ice cream and a drink later in the day.
Just walked around and did the rest of the attractions. Went on Primeval Whirl with the kids. Saw Tarzan too loud and I dont think I need to see that again. Watched the parade and over to Kali River Rapids. Rode this 4 times. Really funny and lots of laughs, we all got soaked except mom and dad who had been wearing their ponchos all week. Really funny - please remember Danny trying to turn the raft. Oh no the rainforest is burning.
Changed into dry clothes and went back to the room to get sweatshirts and we are off to Magic Kingdom. Saw Philharmagic and rode a couple of rides, Big Mountain and then saw the fireworks from the bridge in Frontierland. They were fantastic and beautiful. Wanted something to eat so we split up and we went with the McClays and just watched the parade form the Plaza Pavilion. Very pretty parade but the kids were very tired (falling asleep on the chairs). Shopped a little on the way out. Back to the room for a drink and met up with the kids for a swim. Back to bed around midnight again.
