:jester: I'm celebrating my 40th birthday with a weeklong trip to Disney World. I've never visited near my birthday and from reading on here about what to expect, I can't wait. I plan to pick up an 'It's My Birthday' badge.
Now my question: do most of you wear it on your special day ONLY or during the whole vacation celebrating your birthday? I don't want to seem like I'm 'out for free goodies' but would enjoy the birthday wishes, and my 5 year old would think it was a lot of fun. You only turn the BIG 40 once! Thank goodness! And my Disney fix will make the 'trip over the hill' a little easier.

My daughter celebrated her 27 and 28 b'days in WDW and she only wore her badge the day of her b'day.

But the big 40 is an important one, so I'd say wear it all week!!!

My fiancé celebrated his 21st birthday in WDW and his 22nd in Disneyland and I tried to get him to wear the badge the whole trip both years (7 days in WDW, and 4 days in DL). He'd often 'forget' the badge in our room, but when he did wear it, it was great to hear strangers wish him a Happy Birthday. I also fully intend to make my mom wear one in October for her birthday, and I might even wear it once on our honeymoon in June, which is 5 days after my birthday! I saw wear it as much as you want, and don't worry about looking like you want free stuff, cuz the stuff you'll get wouldn't be something most others should complain about, just some happy wishes and maybe a few free cupcakes.

I celebrated my birthday in WDW last year, and only wore it on that day. It just seems to dilute the fun to have it on for more than your special day.

I wore my buttons all week. It was fun.

If I do decide to get one, I would only wear it on the day.

My daughter and I went to disneyworld in May to celebrate out joint birthday. We were there 5 days and wore them each day. We had special birthday activities planned for the whole stay. By the way get one at each park. The ones at MK were different than the ones at Epcot. We forgot them one morning and our Monarail driver asked us where was our birthday badges. This was the day after our birthday and he suggested we get another one. We even wore matching outfits each day.
Have fun.

We took our DD for her 2nd birthday. While we celebrated all week long with different events ( lunch at The Garden Grill, fireworks cruise and birthday dinner at the Crystal Palace) she only wore the button on her actual birthday. We just thought it made her birthday more special by doing it that way.

Have A Magical Birthday!

one day is probably enough for the badge.

Have a good one!
