So day 2 in San Diego was Halloween day itself. We decided to go to the San Diego Zoo that day. Because of my obsessive (compulsive some might say ) planning, I had the entire vacation, including all meals, scheduled out long before the actual vacation.
I had made halloween disney tees for us to wear this day as well so you will see that in the pics to follow.
Here is the entrance of the zoo. I love elephants so I wanted a pic with the topiaries.

Here is my honey with the sign. He grew up in San Diego and has tons of fond memories of coming here as a child so he was very happy and excited.

Now I did not save the map and if you have never been here this place is HUGE! So I will just leave it at we were there as long as we would have been at a Disney park that day and were just as exhausted. I will just show you guys some of the hundreds of pics I took there to give you a sampling of the things there.

Now here is a funny story! Lizzie wanted to have a pic with some monkeys. So I posed her by the glass and it got the attention of the monkey so he came right up by the glass to try to look at her. It is a little hard to see because it glass messes the pic up but it is so funny he did that!

Now here I think theheat was starting to get to us and we decided to start getting silly shots. Nothing wrong with that though.

Then after a much needed water and shopping break we happened to see a baby orangutan being fed. It was so cute!

Later we wook a bus ride and were lucky enough to get on the top.

Ok well like I said we have hundred more but those are my favs. That concluded our day at the zoo.
I will post more from San Diego next time, I hope you guys enjoy the pics and if anyone is considering a trip to Cali I reccommend stopping by San Diego for sure!

Lol we had a great time finding good pics for Lizzie on this trip! I can not wait for her first trip to Disneyworld!
The zoo there is fantastic but one word of advice is definitly take your walking shoes and start at the bottom of the hill first because it is HARD to get back up to the top after working your way down all day. Also if at all possible split it into 2 days. Yes it is THAT big. I hope you do get a chance to go to San Diego and Disneyland. If so I hope you share your experiences with us all!

I think you would love it also. On your next trip to Disneyland you should add a few days in San Diego and go there!
So any work on a new dw trip for your dd and you yet?

Thanks Rosie. I have seen how it is shaping up. I am so jealous of all you guys. Looks like I will not be able to get off the time to make it down for my birthday but I am not giving up hope yet!

Hi, I posted to this PTR back when you first started. I just saw it on the PTR board and said "oh this one sounds familiar'. My plans have changed since then too, when I first replied here we had planned to go in March.
We are going for our first time in May the 12-19 and we cannot wait. I was so excited when I got into double digits too. Now we're at 63 days to go.... and i'm going crazy!!! We are staying at All Star Movies!!!

It's so different seeing those pictures of Disneyland. Looks like you guys had an awesome weekend.

I love you shirts, I have been making them too. I never thought i'd be able to do it.

Hi there! Welcome back! Yes I remember you from the March boards. Isn't it so exciting that we are going to be there so soon!
Hey you should check out Alan's PTR and maybe join his meet on the 17th in Epcot. WTG on the shirts! Some of the ones I have made are crap and I wanted to throw them away, we will see what happens. Also I caught some great sales at Disney.com's online outlet and got some great shirts less than I could make them for. I love to have matching or at least similar shirts, it always looks so goood in pics.
Do you have a ptr going? I will check it out of you do.


My cable has been up and down and in general very sporadic for like a week now. That really ticked me off because I lost some pins I wanted on ebay. (This is all WDWGirl's fault for getting me interested in pins!) Oh, well! LOL!
Now it is back and I promise I will soon resume my Cali trip and then get you guys all caught up on my pre Disney plans.

Hi Rosie thanks for checking in on me. This actually is the first day I have been on here for a long time. I am going through some personal stuff right now. It is work related but I just really haven't felt like planning my Disney stuff right now.
Now our trip is definatly still on and I will get back here soon, I just need to work through my issues and figure out what I am going to do in my real life before I start thinking about all that again.

Ok guys,
I am back. I want to thank you all for your patience and hanging on even when I have not been here. I do not want to get into a long sob story but I think og you guys as friends so I will give you a brief breakdown of what has been going on lately.
So for a while now Aaron and I have not really been trying to get pregnant but we stopped doing anything to not get pregnant. Well for a while I thought that we were but a few months back I had a bad case of the flu, I do not know if I mentioned that or not. Well I had not gone to the Dr. yet to verify anything just had a home test so I do not know if it was a false test of what but yeah I was not. So that was a pretty emotional time for me. Kind of starting at that same time was some drama with Aaron's ex-wife. She tries to pop into the picture every few years and stir up trouble. Then a few months ago there were changes released for my company but no one knew exactly what was happening. In early April we were finally told that 10 supervisor positions (out of 12) in my building were being eliminated and there would be 3 new positions for the 10 of us. Everyone else would be offered severance or a full time job at a much lower pay rate. The kicker was that we would not know who would get the 3 positions until the end of April.
Well I already was so stressed and now we had to figure out what we were going to do so Aaron and I sat down and planned it out and figured out that we were ok we would just have to cut some things back. I knew I did not want the new position and had been pretty unhappy at work foor a while anyway and I definatly was not going to do the same job I had been doing for less money so I will be taking a severance package.
I still work the rest of this month but then that is it. It is pretty scary for me actually, not because of money (of course that worries me!) but because I do not know how to not work. I have always had a job so I do not know what to do without one. Aaron thinks I should take some time off to destress before I move on to something else so I will probably do that.
To celebrate (lol funny that we are celebrating me losing my job right!) we added a week to our June trip! Yes you heard that right
We are going to Pensacola Beach 4 nights before Disney. Then Disney for 7 nights and then Daytona Beach for 3 nights. We are calling it our tour 'de Florida!
I am so excited for this trip as it is something that I really need right now.
Anyway I have made a ton of tees and plans etc. that I will get to and I have not forgotten that I still owe you guys the wrap up of San Diego still.
I will be back tomorrow and I will get started.
