We're celebrating a birthday at our dinner here in October. Do they have any options for either a special dessert for the birthday person or maybe even a prearranged whole cake for the family to share? I left a message today with the hostess stand and will try them again if no response. Just thought I might get some firsthand reports from my favorite forums.

In the past (pre-Covid) when I was wearing my birthday button at a restaurant, I would once in awhile be surprised by a cupcake or a little dessert by the server. It wasn't a given and I don't know if these little extras are happening nowadays with all the staffing issues.

If you really want something special for a birthday, I would call the restaurant a few days ahead and see what they could do, especially if you wanted a cake to share with your entire party. I know for graduation celebrations, I brought my own sheet cake to the restaurant and had them bring it out after the meal, but that's not as feasible on vacation. I'd definitely call them to see what can be arranged.

I'm not having any luck contacting Big Fire. They never answer their phone. I even left a voicemail once and asked for a call back. Nope. May just give up.
