Birds Sent/Received Thread

DD Katey received her exchange today fom AlexWyattMommy! She was very excited to find a mechanical bird in a cage that chirps and moves. Way cool. (More about that in a minute.) Sunflower seeds and 3 books. She took off to the hammock to read or I'd list the titles. Thank you for an awesome exchange.

The rest of the story: DD shows my Mom (83) the cool bird in the cage. My Mom tells us a story about how when she was younger she wanted to get her Mom a bird in a cage similar to the one DD received, but it was $700.00. DD is amazed that some nice Diser sent her a $700.00 bird. Thanks again!

My boys were pretty mad that I wasn't buying it for them. It sure did remind me of the Tiki Room. I'm glad she likes it. I wasn't sure about the reading level, but I thought better to go easy than stress her out with harder stuff.

I received my package today from PrincessParty's DD Katey. She sent a backyard bird collection puzzle (very pretty), a package of blank notes with a hummingbird on the front, an oven mitt/potholder set and a dish towel with a rooster on the front of them. Oh, and a package of gummi worms for the birds to eat! That was a really cute idea.

DD Emmy got her exchange in the mail yesterday. (We had bad storms last night so I couldn't post.) Thank you to DJT for a wonderful exchange: She received: a PTERODACTYL TY Beanie baby, Lime green rubber duck (Lime green is her favorite color!) , owl bandana, magnetic shopping list with birds on it, a bird suncatcher, and a humingbird hanger with a long glass tear drop crystal on it.
