Birdcage veils

Morning girls
I need to ask your honest opinions about birdcage veils.
I an considering wearing one for my VR. I love them and I have shown a couple of pictures of them to DH and said 'Do you like that?' and he has said 'Yeah, it's nice'. Well that's about as good as it gets when trying to get an opinion out of DH about anything fashion related, so I guess he likes them too!!
If you had a birdcage veil, how did you get on with it? Did it stay secure or were you worried about it all the time? If you took it off after the ceremony, was it easy to remove without messing up your hair?
Do you honestly think I will be okay wearing a veil (albeit a short birdcage one) for a VR?

You will be fine wearing a birdcage veil for your VR. Don't worry!
I ordered mine from Etsy since I couldn't find the right netting I wanted to make my own, it attaches to the hair with two combs since I chose a bandeau style (and even smaller birdcage veil), you can wear it for the ceremony, then remove it with no fuss afterward.

Wear it!! I have a birdcage for my wedding at Sunset Point and I also got a beautiful hair clip to attach to it. I have my hair trial on Sept 11th, I will post some pics then. I am not planning to wear it over my face, just over my hair. Take a look at the Knot, they have a ton of pics of birdcage veils and I got my inspiration from combining a couple ideas on that site.

I loved my birdcage veil, which I wore for the dessert party and arranged off my face a bit so I didn't have to remove it. To me it doesn't matter if it's a VR or a first wedding or what—it's your day and you should wear what YOU want to wear, even if it's a full-length veil and a princess gown!
