Bird of the Day!

We've never had Orioles around our house for as long as they've been here this spring. I did some reading this afternoon about what they like to eat and it turns out they love grape jelly!

So I placed several large spoonfuls of it on a green paper plate and within 30 minutes or so, this is what happened.

I was amazed! I've never seen one of these beautiful bird up close before.

I've read that the orioles tend to nest at the same place every year! maybe you'll get them back, then.

Wow They really are pretty. I enjoy watching birds. I have a pair of red birds that live in my yard. When the food runs out they come to the back door and complain to me.

Today we found out we have a mama robin sitting in a nest in a tree in our back yard. I was "talking" with her while I was painting the potting shed.
