Biometric Scanning for Kids' Tickets

I will have two children, ages 3 and 6 attending the parks. Can anyone tell me if the they are required to go through the biometric scanning in order to use their tickets or is the biometrics used only for the adult tickets?

Just returned and the kids never had to use the biometric scanners. Our teen daughter did, but never the younger ones.

I believe when we were there they said 10 and up so you should have nothing to worry about.

The biometric scans are just for adult tickets (age 10 and up).

Thanks for the information...that is one less thing I have to worry about--not getting them out of strollers, etc.

My son was actually stopped over Spring Break at Epcot because the CM thought he was too young to have a biometric type ticket. He wasn't too thrilled when she loudly said "Hey you're too young for that kind of ticket!" I had to pull her aside and tell her he's not, as if I would PAY for him as an adult if he wasn't one???? He was 10 but is very small for his age (55 lbs wet and could pass for a 7-8 yr old and boy does he love it when people ask if he and my DD7 are twins ). My DD7 never had to put her fingers in the scanner.
