Bingo Question

Can someone tell me how much it cost to play Bingo on the ship? Also how often it is played and when?

I'm sailing on the 8/9 Eastern. First cruise!

Bingo on the Wonder is played once on Sunday at 7:30, Monday and Tuesday at 5:00 and 7:30 and at 5:00 on Wednesdays. It is played in Wavebands on deck three(a small cozy like bar). They sell single cards and packages. I think we bought 2 packages of bingo cards for a total of about $45 or so(I can't remember exactly). The cards are tab fold downs. Also bring along your Disney trivia as the host and hostess will be asking Disney trivia and will be handing out pins for the right answer. We brought our kids with us. They were able to hunt down the numbers with us but they can't claim a "Bingo" if you win. It must be an adult to claim the prize. The numbers are drawn electronically and light up on a board. They played corners, a cross shape, a small square, and a five in a row. It is alot of fun.

I believe in Magic bingo they saw a number in half...

The Bingo setup is the same on the Magic. My DD won the jackpot the day after her 18th birthday. Needless to say she was hooked. She played that night and won another $56!!

The last Jackpot is fun and exciting when there could be thousands at stake and the stateroom account has to be paid the next day!

They didn't give out pins for Disney trivia on our cruise during Bingo!!!

Looking at an old Navigator, Eastern cruise. They had games on Saturday night 7:30, Sunday 2 games 11:30 and 3:15, Monday 2 games 10:45 and 3:00, Tuesday 1 game 5:00, Wednesday 1 game 4:00, Thursday 2 games 11:15 and 4:00 being the final Jackpot Bingo.

I don't think the times will be the same when you cruise since this came from an old navigator. It's best to check your daily Navigator for the correct times on your cruise. Good luck and Happy Sailing.

Do they allow smoking during Bingo?...I would like to play it but I couldn't sit there and play if there were people smoking....

No one was smoking at Bingo when we played last week on the Wonder.

Yes, you can smoke during bingo. On an "outside" deck - making it difficult to play bingo AND smoke at the same time...

I have play BINGO as a child, so I understand the basics. But I have never played BINGO in the real world. Will there be someone there to help me understand the rules? I really would like to try to play, but don't want to look like and idiot. LOL

Yes. They review the rules prior to the start of each bingo session, but it is quite easy.

The Host explains each game very well. On the Magic they also had a sample board that lighted up showing what configuration was 'Bingo' for that particular game. You should have no problem at all.
