You really have a strange take on this.

"Some ppl." have a strange take on a lot of things discussed on the dis. I find that if I see a post by one of those ppl.; I stop reading and move on. Some ppl. just find joy in playing devil's advocate ALL THE TIME.

We're belitting these 'men' because they deserve it. They had no problem using a woman as a shield. Anyone who would do that deserves to be belitted.

Good points!! You're right...they prob went in there with not a shred of fear whatsoever. I can't fathom being that fearless...but thank God we have those serving us that are!



If they weren't fearful of what was happening please explain why those spineless "men" used women to shield themselves from the gunfire during the final minutes. I have ZERO issues with belittling ANY human who would use a child or a woman as a human shield to protect themselves when they are faced with death in the name of a God that promotes the kind of evil they praise.

And the fact that they didn't go down on their terms like they claim they did on the 9-11 attacks makes it even better in my book.

Yep, great human beings, blowing up thousands of innocents and using others as shields. I wasn't belittling anyone, just calling it like I see it.

I know this may not be relevant to the conversation, however I can't help but even IMAGINE the terror in the hearts of those who actually entered that compound in this attempt to capture him.

Can you even imagine the adrenaline and heart rate/blood pressure raging through the Navy SEALS? And to come in, guns blazing and actually be face to face with OBL?

Gives me shivers just thinking about it...God bless those who fulfilled this mission...and may peace be with you.

I'm curious...has anyone heard how they actually entered the compound? I heard there were 24 SEALS who were dropped in by helicopters, but how do you do that without waking up everyone in town?

The town and compound were near a Pakistani military academy or training facility. I imagine that the town people were used to hearing the choppers but from what I understand once the choppers landed the bad guys tried to bring the pain outside of the house before they were chased inside and had the final shoot out.

Also a chopper can actually land without the whoop whoop going. My husband calls it "free falling with style" Only reason I know is because I asked about how you can land a chopper without the motor going.

Also there would have been the option of fast roping out of the chopper and which could have very well happened. I doubt all the details will be told for years.

That's why they are the best of the best. Its kind of like the New Orleans Saints, they are one of the best football teams. Navy Seals are like world class athletes. They are experts at what they do.

And to answer your specific question, don't know for sure, but I would imagine the helicopters were hauling it at tree top level, so the people around them would not have heard them coming until they were right up on them.

I agree. He didn't care what religion all those people in The Towers were when he ordered their deaths. Or those on the planes.

Some guy in the neighborhood posted it on Twitter. He was complaining about the noise the helicopters were making.

Not only that, but he wasn't even Muslim, trying to high jack the religion does not make him Muslim. As I said on the other threads, I would be offended if I were a Muslim for anyone to make a statement that he was Muslim. You aren't a member of any recognized religion IMO if you go around committing genocide or mass murder, you give up your right to claim any religion.
