Bin Laden - celebrations

Go to Hulu and look up Jon Stewart - his take on everything is hysterical!!

Please pm me those links!!!

Let me start by saying how happy I am that Bin Laden was caught. I think it´s amazing that the US Army was able to find him after all these years!
BUT....and yes, there is a but, I am disgusted by the celebrations in the streets. Just as much as I was disgusted by seeing muslim celebrations after 9/11.

I agree with you. He was a terrible man, but, two wrongs don't make a right and I found the celebrations tacky.

Also, I can't help but wonder, if we would just stop sticking our noses in middle eastern affairs if they would just leave us alone. Do you see Canada or Norway or any other number of countries getting attacked? Lets celebrate a war that has cost us trillions of dollars and thousands of lives when for a fraction of the cost we could give every American access to Universal Healthcare and live peacefully.

Quick google search or Norway came up with the following:

Officials in Norway on Thursday, July 8, said they have arrested three men with ties to al-Qaeda suspected of "preparing terror activities." It was unclear if their targets were to be in Norway or elsewhere. The men — one of whom was apprehended in Germany — were described as two legal Norwegian residents and a naturalized citizen. They are thought to have been planning bombing attacks similar to — and apparently linked to — last September's averted suicide strike on the New York City subway system.

...just saying...

Bin Laden had declared a fatwa on the United States and all of it's allies. Canada and Norway are both of our allies. In his Fatwa he commanded all muslims to kill all Americans and their Allies.

And we had the "Toronto 18".

I think I'm going to spam multiple threads with this one, maybe even drag up and Will & Kate ones. :rotfl2:

Dear Osama, Thanks for returning the cloak... Sincerely, H. Potter.
