Billing for SSR Spa Services

Anyone know when you get billed for Spa Services rendered at SSR? Is it at the time the reservation is made, or when services are actually rendered?

A family member is considering giving a Spa visit as a gift to someone else visiting WDW, and we were wondering if there is a seemless way to handle the payment.

We used the spa services last week. We were charged when services were rendered. However, I believe they will charge you a % of the overall cost if you don't show up.

Gift Certificates and Payment for Spa Services
Gift Certificates may be purchased for the Spa or Boutique at the Spa reception desk. We accept most major credit cards and traveler's checks. Walt Disney World Resort guests may use their room card for convenience and payment can also be accepted prior to your treatments, upon request. Phone and Mail orders are accepted by calling 407.827.4455.

Does anyone know if there are currently any DVC discounts at SSR or GF spa? I thought there was one but sure can't find anything on the DVC site. Thanks.

and the receptionist asked if we were DVC members. I told her yes. She then asked if were staying on site and I told her not at SSR but at OKW and she told me to be sure to bring my DVC card to get a 20% discount for my wifes massage.

She also did remind me that there would be a no show charge, I think it was $30.

DVC members (with the Blue Member card) get a 20% discount at SSR on certain purchases, not all of them.

GF and WL Spa is a 10% discount on certain days/certain products.
