Biggest Loser show chit-chat

Just received my "preview" email from Biggest Loser about tomorrow's show:

It's time for the 1,000 pound swimming challenge! Some are cheered, some are shunned and left to lose. Who will win a trip to Fitness Ridge?

I still haven't watched last week's show so sorry if this was in the previews. I'm not really sure how I got on this preview email list. :confused3 I wish they would tell me the schedule if they are going to tell me all this stuff -- would make the challenge a lot easier to plan. ;)

Shannon, I think you are correct that there may be some hard feelings with Koli and Stephanie.

So apparently we have to wait another week for the makeovers. They should all really need one by then! :rotfl2:

How mean is it that when they did Lance's update and he announced they live out in the middle of nowhere my first thought was -- that's better for everyone around the two of you? I can tolerate him without her, but she makes my blood boil. I'm sure that's why the producers picked a challenge she was sure to win -- she clearly had the advantage in anything that was physical endurance. I almost wish it would have been a more random challenge -- it would have been interesting to see how that would have played out. Lance calls her very competitive -- I think it goes beyond that. Girlfriend is just spiteful. I wish John or James would have sat on her so she couldn't compete. Oops, I guess that makes me a bit spiteful, too! Bring on those makeovers, but send her butt home first. I can't wait to see what they do with Daris's hair, he has just got to get to the makeover show!

I also like carrot top hair (as you can tell I am terrible with names).

That's Daris. Always the go to guy with the friends girlfriends but never had one of his own. Never kissed a girl, etc etc.... Nice kid and very focused.

I was surprised that Koli was so distrustful of Stephanie - given her relationship with Sam.

Jealously is an ugly thing.

eh, I'd give up fitness ridge if I don't have to get in a pool. Can't swim and have no desire to learn. LOL

Great show so far. Loved the challenge and how they worked it.

Can't wait the weigh in

Just have to get this off of my chest:

I HATE MELISSA

There I feel so much better!

I hate Melissa too, but boy she had an awesome argument for not voting her off. I wonder what'll happen!

Well, what an interesting show this evening.:rolleyes1

It does not surprise me that Melissa is a lawyer. Though I don't think I would pay her to defend me.

I think there is a lot of potential in this group. Some of them are really finally finding out who they are and what they are capable of. I think they will push themselves more as a group than any other group of contestants has.

Once everyone has watched, we can further discuss the outcome of tonights elimination, though I am relatively certain no one was disappointed with it.:woohoo:

Even DS who is 10 doesn't like Melissa -- he says she gives lawyers a bad name -- but that could be because his parents are lawyers. :rolleyes1
Can't wait to watch later to see what happened. :cool2:

We only watched the first half yesterday but that seems to be the feeling in the house too! I wonder what they've edited out. I couldn't believe her attitude towards people helping Mike her "what were they thinking?" ummm maybe that the man needs to lose weight to LIVE and that's more important than MONEY? She doesn't think that way though.

I think this group "gets" it. To them, its not a game, its about changing their life. And since they really aren't into the "game" yet, it is more about pushing yourself to do your best and not about screwing someone else so that you can win. I understand someone has to win the prize, but I really think these folks don't care as much about it as others have in the past. Maybe they do and they are just playing it close to the vest at this point, but I really like this group.

O'Neal still is an emotional roller coaster, but I think he is just so proud of Sunshine (as he should be) and that is how he shows it.

Poor Vicky, another product placement, Fiber One anyone?:lmao:

I couldn't have said it better myself. It is truly just a "game" to Melissa. But it seems like the rest of them realize that there is a bigger purpose here.

I would almost bet with that attitude that she might be one of the first to regain her lost weight. She isn't concentrating on lifestyle change.... just game play.........................P

Melissa reminds me of one of those cartoon characters whose eyeballs turns into dollar signs.

It's funny that Melissa thought she would be the first to lose 2% of her body weight, and she hadn't even by the end of the week! I am proud of Sam for winning that one.

I was impressed with the way the others helped O'Neal and Michael finish the challenge in the pool so that Melissa was last. (She may have been a good stair stepper but she was a lousy swimmer!) What goes around...comes around!

I wasn't too fond of Michael when he divided the teams into black and blue, but he has grown on me in the weeks since. I especially appreciated him choosing Victoria as the eliminated player to return, and his comments at the elimination round about it not being about playing the game.

Since the shows are taped at least two months before they air on TV, and I'm pretty sure the contestants are home now - they probably all watch the show. Can you imagine seeing yourself on TV - not knowing which footage the show's producers will use until you watch the show?! :scared1:

I ran the mardi gras half, and it was super cool to see them running through the same streets I did, and crossing the same finish line I did (and knowing I smoked their time, lol!) very cool.

Yikes. How often can they remind themselves "be on my best behavior - you never know what will show up!" ??!!

I know that several people commented that they were looking forward to seeing Darius' makeover (BTW, his comment about his reaction to the alarm showed what a funny ense of humor he has!). I am interested in seeing what that can do with Michael's hair. OMG. That 70s do has to go!!!:confused3

I thought the challenge was great, and loved seeing them pitch in to help ONeill and Mike.
Its great that they are all generally getting along and looking at the bigger picture. It'll be interesting to see what happens next week, now that Melissa is gone and there isn't a person for everyone to dislike. What will the producers be doing to stir things up? They have to try to create conflict and drama again.
Next week looks interesting with last years winner coming back. :goodvibes
Is that the first time a winner has come back and actually worked out with the contestants? I know they've had old contestants come back and talk or cheer them on at races, but I don't recall seeing a previous one come back and work out.

Danny looks SO good! I'm looking forward to seeing him again. :)

Ding Dong, the witch is dead, the wicked witch is dead! :woohoo:

Just watched, and couldn't be more pleased. A great episode, and I was also totally psyched to realize that though I am much larger, I am faster than Melissa! If it was Disney I would have said maybe she stopped for a photo with Maleficent...

This group of contestants is definitely one of the best. I love that they banded together to get rid of the gamer.

Can't wait to see more of Danny, he's a true inspiration!

I need a healthy, quick breakfast that will keep me full and give me energy -- and I'd like to eat like a real Biggest Loser contestant. Any ideas?
