Biggest Loser show chit-chat

I was so nervous that Stephanie was going to be eliminated. I'm glad she's safe for another two weeks. When Michael yelled at her to wait and not shoot when he was walking up to the targets, I was worried she would listen. I'm glad she went ahead and did it. I'm glad to see her playing the game hard.

I also thought the "hold the torch on your head" game was pretty silly. I feel bad for both Andrea and Daris. I can't decide which of them is more likely to stay on program if they lose having their parent there.

This is the first season I've watched this show. When do they do the makeovers? I really want Daris to make it to the makeover show - I'm really interested to see what they do with his hair.

I LOVE those yoplait smoothies. so easy and fast, very good. I add protein powder. i like how its already portioned ot and already has yogurt in it. I have a very limited time to get ready in the morning and these are so quik and easy. strawberry banana is my favorite! Also they don't cost 4 dollars at my grocery store. maybe I just got them on sal or something?

UPDATE: just checked my kroger receipt and they are $1.25 a pack so 75 cents a serving, works for me!

We make smoothies all the time in the morning and while they are easy, I thought for $1.25 I would buy a couple of packs to keep on hand for rushed mornings. But they are $3.95 at our local grocery store! :scared1: Gack! I'll just keep making our own from scratch.

so weird how much the price differs! sorry about that! I just bought some more today!

so I ran the mardi gras half marathon in New Orleans this w/e and Lance and Melissa from the red team ran! I didn't find out till after or I would have looked for them. I bet them by almost 30 minutes :)

That would have been interesting to see them and see how they look now. So does that mean that in real time, the show is in the part when the final contestants have gone home or does Lance get voted out before the final few:confused:

Enjoyed the episode.
I wonder is the producers coached Mike into putting together the blue/black teams. It seems they are always unbalanced and Jillian gets the underdogs and they actually do great in the first time together. But I may just be remembering wrong, but it really didn't feel too surprising that black won the weigh-in.

I think the finalists have about two months at home before the finale - so Lance could be a finalist. But given his low weight losses recently - I would guess he isn't one of the final four.

I was very happy the black team won last night! I'm surprised Mike didn't put Miggy on the black team and keep Sam and Koli together on the blue team. Then it would've been almost all men (except Sunshine) against women!

According to Jillian's Facebook page everyone is home now waiting for the finale in May -- if any of you know the date for the finale, please PM as I am trying to figure out when it is for our challenge thread. :goodvibes

I agree, Nancy, that it would be surprising if Lance was a finalist. I'm hoping for Daris and one of the Tongans. It would be nice if at least one woman made it.

I think Michael sounded totally coached when he was explaining how he put together the teams.

I'm glad the show is back -- I just wasn't sure why Alison was wearing an evening gown?

I'd better run out and get some Lara bars!

Maria :upsidedow

Anyone else think that the challenge was a bit unfair this week? I mean you have a team of 1 guy and 5 girls vs a team of 5 guys and 1 girl trying to pull a semi truck. More great product placement (BL protein powder and Subway!). I liked the work week concept, I think it shows people that you can work full time and still get workouts in and lose weight.

I was sad to see Cheryl go home, I did like her. I was intrigued by the preview for next week. It showed Michael with his suitcase. I am thinking something happened at home and he had to go home for a bit? Guess we will have to wait and see.

Didn't anyone else watch last week?

Looking forward to tomorrows show.

Oh, I watched! I think I just forgot to write anything about it here!

I agree, that challenge was totally skewed. With the teams being so unbalanced, you'd think they could do some of those that require that mental toughness or dexterity rather than sheer brute strength/mass.

I have been impressed with how well the black team is doing, though. I think there is something about the percentage evaluation that makes it pretty tough for such a LARGE team to lose enough pounds to win a weigh in. I guess we will see how it goes this week, but if everyone needs to lose 8-10 pounds, it is easy to fall behind if one person has a bad week.

I was thinking maybe Michael had some kind of medical problem, but you're probably right that it's more like a family crisis. Again, we'll see tomorrow!

I liked the work week and the fact that they were working at a food shelf, but thought it was kind of a silly product placement to have Koli forget his lunch and nobody offered to share anything with him, just sent him to the vending machine and then off to Subway. Frankly, I was surprised they'd have money along! No ATM's on the Biggest Loser campus, I'm guessing. And then...did Stephanie eat 2 lunches? Cause she was eating at Subway as well! Yup, I am the lunch police.

Was this week the temptation with the matching game? Oh, that was last week, wasn't it? How tough that it was just 2 of them eating all of that stuff. I couldn't believe that Michael won it - it seemed like..what's her name...was the one who was going to. I always wonder what would happen if everyone refused to play their silly reindeer games. If they all banded together and said if there is a choice, nobody plays. It probably would never work, but I'm still waiting for the day it happens.

Oh, has anyone else noticed that O'Neil has the most widely varying emotional states? He goes from distressed to thrilled to tough to kindly to distressed to thrilled again, like flipping a switch!

I was also a little sad to see Cheryl go, but I find that I'm really not all that attached to anyone this season. :confused3

I hope it's makeover soon because some of those boys need a haircut. Darris has since day 1, but Michael AND Sam are looking pretty shaggy now! I guess it has been 2 months since their last cut.

I watched it! I thought for sure Sam was going to be sent packing, but I was wrong. I am looking forward to tomorrow's show, as always.

I went through a few tissues during this show! I will say this - the eliminated player looks AMAZING!

I agree Nancy!! That player has a good shot at the at home prize!

Always love when Curtis Stone comes to visit. :lovestruc He is such a cutie. And he can cook.

Next week should be interesting with everyone going home for the week. Do you think they will have to run the half marathon like they did a few seasons ago?

Don't forget.... she only had to lose around her middle. She had super skinny arms and legs all along. Once she lost that belly fat, she looked truly transformed! And she doesn't have to worry about excess saggy skin on her arms, thighs, and butt (lucky lady!). Not taking anything away from her amazing effort.... just an observation..........P

I didn't notice her skinny arms and legs. I did notice her large belly, even when her weight was in the 160s on the ranch. She must be pretty short, because a taller person would look pretty good at that weight.

I have a hard time telling how tall people are. I wish they would give that info so you could see/compare. I do think she is on the shorter side, but again its hard to tell.

Yeah, she really was an apple shape, arms and legs were not problem areas. Me, its all problems. I say I am an equal opportunity fat girl-its all over, not just my tummy. :rotfl: But I'm working on it!!

Well, there goes the last of the moms! She did look amazing - I was surprised she announced how much she had lost. I think that ultimately it is going to be good for her daughter that she doesn't have to worry about taking care of her mom for the rest of the show.
Now, when on earth are we going to change to individuals? PLEASE???? The way the teams are, it is just ridiculous to continue this way! Breaks my heart that Black lost even with a 5 pound advantage.

We were really surprised by the plug for avacados and...wasn't there another food plugged? I LIKE it - I appreciate that it was a meal idea, as well. Was that a placement by the Avacado growers association or was it just Avacado night? Who knows??

I continue to pull for Darris sticking around through the makeover. It's terrible to say, but the longer he's around, the more weird and annoying O'Neil seems to be.

I agree, the at-home show should be interesting!

O'Neal does seem to run the gamut of emotions doesn't he? Perhaps if he ate more avacado, he would feel better:lmao:

I still don't have a favorite, Lance seems better without Melissa around. Don't know who I want to win, but I'd like Daris to stay until makeover week so they can do something with that unruly mop of hair he has!!

That's for sure, and I want Lance's beard to disappear!

:rotfl2: I love it!

Wait - that's a beard? I thought it was a fungal infection. :rolleyes1 I seriously think that is the worst facial hair since....maybe Ron. Though actually the beards on John and James this season were a bit sketchy as well, come to think of it.

Makeovers can't come soon enough, but we still have...like 5 or 6 eliminations before they are likely to do them, right?
