Biggest Loser show chit-chat

Too funny. DH and I were making fun of the product placement last night too.

I thought Rudy looked great - she was right - much younger. I didn't like Rebecca's hair or Danny's look as much. Rebecca looked good, I just didn't think that hairdo suited her personality.
Dang Leno - I turned on my TV to watch my Tivo'd Biggest Loser last night after putting DD in bed, and before I can pull up my Tivo shows, Leno says, "We've got ______ from The Biggest Loser here." Oh well.
Totally agree that this person looked amazing!

She really did look great - in the "where are they now" segment where she was doing the half marathon, it was so sweet the way she was so emotional around mile 10. How much of a shock must it be to change that much that fast? It's positive, but so different!

I wish they would have left Rebecca's hair more asymmetrical. I liked her old style a lot, and her new style was much more...pageboy. She looked pretty still, but it just wasn't my favorite.

I didn't know what to think about Liz's new look. I was surprised at how blond she was!

Allen and Amanda just ended up looking great, too, I thought. Not a radical change as they usually look attractive!

I agree Rudy looked much better without the beard.

Danny looked better with his salt and pepper hair, hope he lets it go back.

Rebecca's hair was too thick around her face, I too liked her old look better.

Liz was really blond, noticed how she just went back to styling it the same way on the ranch though.

Amanda is so pretty, she looked very nice.

Allen has hottie potential. Seriously. I love me some bald men, and he is totally styling in that suit.

What was up with Rudy not dishing on his sister dying? Jillian had a field day with that, you would think that with everyone else dropping their baggage, he would have too.

I really didn't like the end in the elimination room, but I had a feeling it was going to go the way it did. It was a shame that feelings were hurt so much, but now its gameplay, all bets are off.

Gotta go, have to fill up my Nalgene bottle with Brita water and Biggest Loser Protein Powder. Then I am going to warm up by doing the Wii Biggest Loser game before I head out to Subway and 24 hour fitness. Oh and I have to stop at the store to buy Extra gum, Lara Bars and some of those wind power made Ziploc bags. When I get back, I may go online and sign up for a week or 6 at the Biggest Loser ranch, or maybe I will just buy the cookbook.;)

Too busy last night to watch the episode so hopefully tonight. I take my gray and turn it blonde so I will be interested to see how Liz turned out. Rebecca looks too much like Anne Hathaway in Get Smart. I don't like her hair color either -- it's too light. Too bad they couldn't talk her out of that dark nail polish all the time. ;)

don't forget tonight there is a special follow up to previous contestants. I believe it's 2 hours.

it will be interesting to see who kept the weight off.

So tonights show is only an hour, last one before the finale. I have a feeling they will be running again like last year. If so, Rudy and Amanda will be in, then the voting will be between Liz and Danny. Will be interesting.

Should be interesting! I can't wait to see what they come up with.

We finally got through last weeks shows last night. What did you guys think of that frank talk that Bob had with them about maintaining? I thought it was a great discussion, even better because the where are they now show included bob talking to...what was his name - the winner who gained a lot back. I loved how Bob said that he didn't need the strict method this time. He needed something livable. Halleluia!

I was also super impressed by Matt who did the Iron Man and was over the time cutoff by 3 minutes. Incredible effort on his part. I can not imagine completing even one of the components of an ironman triathlon, but he went out and did it!

I got pretty bored during the segment on Neil's wedding. I actually fell asleep. Oh well, Neil.

Here's a little link on Rebecca and Daniel if anyone's interested:

Fantastic show last night. Who would have ever thought that Danny would lose 59 pounds at home? Wow!!!!!

I was very motivated by the marathon. I'm training for my first half and if they can do a full marathon, I should breeze through the half.

I too was amazed Danny could lose 59 pounds at home in 60 days! Wow!

I think it would be hard to get back to your regular life after being away for 10 weeks. And it will be even harder when that finale next week is behind you and Christmas with all its temptations right around the corner. :scared1:

I voted for Liz. Amanda is young -- she will have lots of chances. It's us 49 year old ladies that need another chance. ;) (Although I have to admit Liz has had plenty -- how many times was she below the yellow line?!?)

Oh well, have to go and enjoy my Extra gum now that I've finished my Subway sandwich for lunch. :rolleyes1

I voted for Liz too. Amanda was up for elimination a lot too and every time I had hoped she'd go. I got so tired of hearing how "she was America's choice" Blah.

I didn't even vote because I don't think Liz or Amanda stands a chance against Danny and Rudy - those guys are juggernauts! I probably prefered Amanda a bit - Liz seemed a little crazy in her personal interviews, but I agree Amanda's "America picked me" bit was tired as well. Come on. America chose between two very similar seeming overweight blonde women. It didn't seem to me that there was much differentiate them for that choice.

Remember when Chef Curtis said "Do you know how may calories are in that chili?" I said "None! It's Extra Sugar-free Chili!" I think it was funnier late at night when we were watching it.

I still feel it's really questionable to have them running a marathon with that little training. Yes, the finished. Some of them finished without too much trouble. Their cardio is there, but clearly none of them were prepared for that much impact on the bodies, especially the Brown team. A half would be a much more responsible distance to have them do, but they've upped the ante and the drama of a full marathon can't be denied, I guess. I think it's a shame, though. It doesn't seem to give the distance the respect it deserves. It's a distance that intimidates me, for sure.

I agree!!!! I voted for Liz for the same reasons!! "I'm America's choice." Yes blah! :rotfl2:

Soooo, was anyone surprised at the outcome??? I wasn't, thought Danny looked fantastic. I am glad he won.

Shay gets another chance, WOW how generous of subway to offer her $1000 per pound she loses. Can't wait to see how she does.

No surprise on the proposal from Antoine to Alexandra. They are a cute couple.

Rebecca-what was that hairdo??? Was she trying to be Tinkerbell? But she looked fantastic and I am glad she won the at home prize. Noticed there was no announcement of a relationship between her and Daniel, but I did notice how they interacted.

Tracy looked SCARY, not too skinny, but just scary. Julio looked quite interesting, don't know if I liked the facial hair.

Amanda looked good, but she only lost like 7 lbs since the last weigh in, which was 2 months ago. Hopefully she keeps going and keeps the weight off.

Looking forward to next season, looks like some interesting dynamics will be going on.

Ha ha I agree with everything you said! :) Rebecca, when she came out wow!! Didn't even recognize her. Don't think that would have been my choice of outfit or hair, but I'm not the one who chose it. :goodvibes I didn't realize she and Daniel were a couple!! I did see her rubbing her neck and thought she was pretty friendly and intimate - duh!

I wasn't surprised and am very happy Danny won. What a difference?

I thought Shay looked amazing and am so happy that she has this Subway challenge. She did so well, and at home! She makes me feel that all is possible as I am about her weight now (I was nearly 360 lbs).

But where was Eric? Bob was going to bring him to the finale, I guess he has not gotten back on track yet. Too bad, but soo hard.

Going to Disney January 7th - 12th with Team Arthritis. Will do the 5k and may start the half, though the latter is on the fence still.

I believe Eric was invited to the finale of Season 9 which will be the next season Jan - May.

I agree that Rebecca looked amazing (although my first thought when I saw her was, "who dressed her like a streetwalker?") and Tracy did not look good. She looked small, but she didn't look healthy -- I don't know how to explain it. Abby looked small and healthy, Tracy didn't.

I don't know what was up with Rebecca and Daniel. I wonder if they've decided to be friends, put a hold on things for awhile, or something. They did have moments, but they clearly weren't "together". They are both young with whole new worlds to explore, so I wouldn't have expected them to be too serious.

I was happy Danny won -- and wow, he does look like a completely different person, as does Rudy. Amanda had the most flattering outfit (although Liz's suit really looked great on her, too), and I'll leave it at that.

It was nice to get a glimpse of the next season. I actually prefer the individuals to the couples, but it is good to have a variety.
