Biggest Loser Alumni Holiday Edition: past, present and future participants welcome!

wow your story brought me to tears. I am so glad you are able to be here to spend the day with your dh and children. I love the attitude of getting started today on your healthy lifestyle.

Thanks!

So glad to hear people are having a great Christmas. I had such a great day, I don't really want to go to bed, it is been the best day!

Sounds like everyone had a terrific Christmas, and I'm soooo glad!

Well, Sophie was the "dunce" and ate it all "at once" yesterday. Mom's lunch/dinner was "fun foods" chicken salad, ham, wienes, meatballs, veg and dip, etc. Little did I know that everytime Sophie went in the kitchen, she snuck a pig in a blanket, until we didn't know where they all went. Then while we were unloading the car, etc., she got into a bag of chocolates Dh bought, and must have eaten 15 or more within a few minutes. The wrappers were the evidence. Needless to say, I'm up because she just threw up in our bed, and I gave her my spot in the bed. Dh said to just leave the sheets on for now, since most of it went on her. :scared1: So I am hoping I can go back to sleep on the couch for a while, if I can clear a spot! :lmao:

We got snow yesterday, too, the trees are so heavy and pretty. I would guess 5-6 inches, but we haven't measured it yet. Made getting home from Mom's tricky, and we never made it to MIL and FIL, they took Brad's granny to their house early yesterday b/c the roads got so bad. I felt bad about it, but Brad didn't, so we're okay.

Supposed to have TA's wife's funeral today at 2, not sure if they'll go ahead w/ it today or put it off. I doubt I'll be able to get out if it's today...

Have a good one, sure I'll be back on later!
 Taryn!

Good morning everyone. We had a lovely day yesterday. The boys loved their stuff. I worked hard to get everything done and the food was great. I have lots of leftovers which is good with the snow predicted for today.

We were opening presents at in laws yesterday. A couple of my sil are having tough times (forever) so I really don't expect much. With my mil she sometimes has a strange taste. I got the same knife set from her twice in 3 years. So when I hadn't gotten anything from her my dh was getting a little upset (especially with all the cooking I had done yesterday morning.) Then a beautiful bag came to me and there was an envelope inside. She told me later she didn't see anything she thought I would like so she gave me cash. It was a surprise but now I can add it to the money my parents gave me.

Dh is in the kitchen cleaning up the mess from yesterday. We got home and we were all exhausted. We all fell asleep very early last night.

I have to go and figure out if I need to make a run to the grocery store before the storm hits here. I don't have much fruit in the house so maybe I will go and get some.

Stay safe everyone on the east coast. It is supposed to be nasty out there today.

awww poor sophie...she will learn the hard way. I hope she is feeling better this morning. How wonderful a white xmas.:cloud9: I bet it was lovely.

We had a fabulous Christmas.

Im so glad you had a wonderful day. The gifts sound great. Dont worry about MIL she is just jealous and Im sure you do work hard for what you have.

It is officially a White Christmas here in Chesapeake. 8-12 inches are expected out of this and the word "Blizzard" has been bandied about:scared1: This may cancel my work for tomorrow, but no way I can decide tonight as there is nobody there to call anyway:rotfl2:

I would have loved a white christmas. We had a few flurries but nothing else. Im glad you had a relaxing day and I hope the next few months at work go smoothly.

Good morning everyone. We had a lovely day yesterday.

So glad to hear you had a great day. I think you are going to get more snow than our area. I heard last night that we are only going to get 1-3 and most is heading toward jersey. Of course I thought of you.:) Stay safe and enjoy your day.

I woke up feeling like a big ball of bloated salt. I vow to begin eating better today. I know I gained some weight back just unsure of how much because I wont step on the scale. I am hoping by the time I weigh in next week it will all be gone.

I am heading into work for a little and then coming home to run 5 miles before any snow starts. We are going to our friends today to celebrate the holiday. We have games and crafts planned for the kids. My friend is a health nut so their is always something good to eat there so I am not too worried. Then it will be home to watch the EAGLES:cheer2:. Busy Busy Day!

Susan: Your European vacation sounds nice! I've never heard of Scheffhausen, will have to google, sounds German! I love Moet Rose Champagne but my favorite is Ruinart:lovestruc Hope your son feels better soon. Luckily at that age everything seems to pass by fast. Merry Christmas to you too!

Scheffhausen is actually in Switzerland, and it was a great trip. My husband had a client with offices there and in Zurich so his flight was free and so were some of our hotel nights.

Now tell me, did you start planning that trip when you were pregnant? It's never too early to start planning. I took michael for his first trip in dec for his 5th b-day, and I definitely thought about it before he was born. Dylan will be about 4 1/2 then, right? Such a great age to go. Since I've fallen in love with disney after his first trip, I think maybe I should have taken him sooner, but then I think, it may not have been as magical, and I may not have wanted to go back so much. I

Hope ds is feeling better, and you all have a merry, magical Christmas.

I booked the Disney cruise when Dylan was only 4 months old knowing he'd be almost 2 when we went.

We were actually going to do another cruise a year from this May too, but the points didn't work out on my DVC so we're going to do Disney that December instead. I didn't want to take him when he'd be too young, but I'm suffering withdrawals so the sooner the better.

Hi everyone!

I got invited over here be lisah0711!!! Thanks my friend!:flower3:

Welcome :goodvibes

Morning everyone! Glad to hear that everyone had a great Christmas. DS is all better and loved opening all his gifts. Unfortunately my DH and I ended up getting his stomach bug last night. So, needless to say we shared the bathroom off and on most of the night. I got up with my DS around 6:45 and my DS is just getting up now, so I think I'll be heading to lay down now.

On the plus side, guess all the junk I eat won't have that bad of an effect on my weight loss :confused3

Good morning all! :goodvibes Sounds like everyone had a wonderful Christmas! :santa:

Taryn, hope that Sophie is feeling better soon. :flower3: Do you ever have a night where everyone sleeps through?

Hi Susan! :wave2: sounds like you've been able to get outside a bit, too. :sunny: I thought of you last night when DH was trying to make the au jus for our prime rib. It just didn't work the way Alton Brown said it would. :rotfl: It still tasted delicious!

Jeanette, just think next Christmas you will be a bride! :bride:

CC, sounds like Santa was good to you! :santa:
Hi everyone!

I got invited over here be lisah0711!!! Thanks my friend!:flower3: It has been a while since I've been on here, but boy do I need it!

First Merry Christmas to everyone! Treasure this holiday. No matter the stress or anxiety it may give you, it is a blessed day! I am so very happy right now!

Vija! I am so happy to see you! I was thrilled yesterday when I saw you had signed up for the spring challenge. As you can see from Vija's tag she was the winner of the first BL challenge and she won the first challenge that I did in 2009. I'm so glad that you are feeling better and will be joining us in the spring. :flower3:

We're having friends over tomorrow to watch Dr. Who and just have fun! I will work out with my new EA Sports Active on Monday. We have so many movies and games to enjoy, the week will go by really fast!

Hope that your DD feels better soon! :flower3: I heard Dr. Who is A Christmas Carol -- DS just studied A Christmas Carol and Dr. Who is a favorite so I've heard quite a bit about it. :rolleyes1

I would have totally threw in the towel yesterday on my run if it was not for the vision of the princess in our near future. It took everything I had to get out there. I cant believe how quickly its coming. Gosh less than 2 months til we leave.

I know. It's a great motivator. I might be sitting on my behind all winter if it wasn't for the race. princess: No running for me today though -- freezing rain so won't leave the house. I'll do 6 tomorrow and 3/3/4 later in the week. Then my longs start going up. Sounds like you go some great new running gear!

Hope that you get an extra day off today, Maureen.

Thanks!

Just like a kid on Christmas Eve! ;)

Stay safe everyone on the east coast. It is supposed to be nasty out there today.

Sounds like you had a nice Christmas, dona. Be safe in that big storm! :flower3:

And that goes for all of you east coast folks.

I think that it is a good Sunday to stay home, relaxing and chill out in this winter weather! :hippie:

Wow, Lindsay! You are an INCREDIBLE making sure that you get your run in before the snow arrives! :thumbsup2

Good morning, everyone! I am so excited to be our coach today. I have to go read the past 2 days worth of posts and then I'll be back to post the QOTD. :grouphug:

Good morning, everyone! I am back to post the QOTD then I am looking forward to responding to posts.

QOTD, Sunday, December 26: Did you receive a "gift" for the holidays this year that will make your "getting fit" journey easier? Maybe it was a new-found motivation or an actual tangible item. Please share!

Good morning everyone. Loved reading about everybody's merry Christmas's, and hearing how grateful we all are for all the blessings we have in our lives.

We had a very nice christmas day. Other than church, we hung out at home and played Life, hexbug nanos, dominoes, and the wimpy kid game til about 3 and then went to a friends and my sisters. We got home around 9 and crashed til 7:30, which is late for us. Had a few good laughs. My sister gave michael Cuponk which looks like a good practice game for beer pong, so I were teasing her since her son had gotten caught having a beer pong party once. Michael loved his leather jacket that santa brought and was strutting his stuff, so I'll post a pic later. Of course my brother had him putting his thumbs up and saying "aaaayye, I'm the fonz". My sil posted this on facebook-
One of the most glorious messes in the world is the mess created in the living room on Christmas day. Don't clean it up too quickly. (Andy Rooney).
so I took it to heart, and the house is still a mess.

I'm on call til 7p and keeping my fingers crossed the phone doesn't ring. We're going to my nephews b-day at 12, which is closer to the hospital, so I may hang there most of the afternoon. It's already snowing lightly, and looking very pretty, and I'm very happy to be off tomorrow. It's supposed to snow all night til tomorrow afternoon. 12-14 inches.

I am getting back on track today, and am going to start journalling my food again, and follow the new ww plan. I joined last week, but I don't know if I'll go to meetings, or just do it on my own, with the bl challenge as my support system. I plan to read through the info this morning.

Sue- Glad you had a nice christmas and dylan enjoyed opening the presents. Hope you and dh are feeling better soon. Do you have to go out early tomorrow? Hope not, and you can enjoy the snow.

Taryn- Poor AK with the sleep issues. My friends dd has gone through the same thing, and it's so hard on them both, but like you, she lets her come in and sleep on the floor beside her bed. And little sophie the party girl. Hope she's feeling fine today, and you were able to get some more sleep. She reminds me of my little niece. I think all night friday she was constantly snacking. Enjoy the snow. It is beautiful, isn't it.

Lisa- Hope you had a wonderful Christmas too. I love your wish for loss and maintains in the new year! We are going to lose for sure!! Starting right now. We can do it!! I can't believe it's only 2 months til the race. I am going to miss my long run this weekend, but wil switch it to next weekend.

Vija- It's great to see you again, and i am so happy you are still here and have such a positive attitude and new lease on life. Are you able to do the Tai Kwon do again?

Lindsay- What a treat your boys actually slept til 715!! I'm so jealous. Probably a very good move for their sake to skip the cousins house. There is just so much to do, and we can push them too far, and then pay the next day. I always feel very emotional in church too, and I remember going with michael in the baby seat on christmas when he was 3 weeks old, and sat in the back and just cried through the entire service. So overwhelmingly thankful for all I have. Hope you're not in work for too long. Aren't you supposed to be off this week? Guess a manager never gets a true day off, huh. So sweet the gifts dh bought you. Guess he's a good support of you and your running.

Maureen- hope the store had to close and you're relaxing with some coffee right now.

Dona- funny on the double knife sets from mil. Hope you take that money she gave you and spend it on something for YOU!! I don't think you do that very often. Glad the boys were happy with their gifts.

Shawn - Enjoy your visit in the mountains. Hope your travelling days aren't too snowy.

cupcaker- More pixie dust to you as you plan that wedding, and I love hearing all about it too, so post away, and vent away if it gets stressful.

50s jayne- glad you gained a couple pounds and are feeling good.

CC- Merry Christmas! sounds like you had a nice day and got some great stuff to help you on that healthy journey. I didn't buy the ww calculator thing, so if I'm ever stumped on a foods points, I'll send you a pm.;)

Tracey- Hope you don't have to go out tomorrow morning either and can enjoy the snow. Michael is so excited.

Cam- thanks for coaching today.

Off to eat a healthy breakfast now, with plenty of no point fruits!! Excited to start the new ww plan. Have a great day, and be careful if you need to go out in the snow.

when I got cancelled last wed, which was the best gift to have some time to myself, I joined ww and am excited to start again. I guess ww gave me a gift by having fruit no points too. I am pretty confident that will make a big difference for me.

Mine would be an iphone. My phone is so old and I could really use something to get up to date with technology.

Lindsay – Was Santa good to you? Your Christmas celebration sounded so lovely!

On this day of the holiday challenge my true love gave to me . . . twelve losers losing, eleven maintainers maintaining, ten minutes of leaping, nine moves of dancing, eight minutes relaxing, seven laps of swimming, six days of journaling, FIVE HAPPY WISH'ERS! Four motivating words, three sets of ten, two exercise gloves and a big glass of water for me! :santa:

Lisa – You are truly amazing. Thank you so much for the gift you give us your creativity and support and encouragement. I have LOVED your 12 days of WISH holiday challenge posts. Your posts never fail to make me smile.

Taryn – I had to shudder to think of Sophie eating all of that and getting sick. Poor baby. I remember Jenn did that once when she was little. It was Doritos and chocolates. So NOT good. I hope she is feeling better today. Your Christmas sounded wonderful! I can’t wait to hear all about your trip to HHI! Have fun shopping at Belk. We don’t’ have that here, so whenever we are at Disney’s HH resort, we make it a point to shop there. Wonderful!

We had so much fun opening our gifts. We gave DS a flipfold and he loved it. He demonstrated a t shirt, long sleeve shirt and a towel for everyone. We'll see how long he uses it:rolleyes1 DH and I do not normally exchange gifts but he let me know he had something for me so I gave him the PC batter bowl (he always makes our pancakes) and a personalized stocking from LL Bean. He gave me a Kindle, I love it! I already downloaded 4 free books!

Totally had to laugh about the flipfold. Isn’t it amazing how kids can entertain themselves with something like that? LOL! How exciting that you got a Kindle! Mine is still my favorite “toy” ever and I’ve had it well over 2 years!

Just stopping in to say hi--it's fun reading about your fun... It's easy to forget what it was like when the kids were little. Have had a very laid back christmas this year--which is fine, almost as good as a few years ago doing the whole holiday on very good back pain meds.;)
I got some good stuff too so far-- my Mom has caught on to anything Disney will make me happy, got a Mickey Robe and a sleeping beauty castle bag that's really pretty.

Glad you enjoyed your Christmas. Your gifts sound so perfect! I am intrigued about your castle bag. Is it a tote?

Jeannette – It is so sweet to hear how excited your Dad is about your wedding. It must be so hard to choose the venue, but I am sure your day will be absolutely perfect as long as you and DF are making the decisions and not letting anyone else dictate them to you. Your two dresses are so pretty! I can’t wait to see pictures of you in them – your fit self will look so great in those styles.

Tauwillow – Your celebration sounds so joyful!! I LOVE all things sun and moon and stars and your tree sounds gorgeous. Are you able to share a picture?

CC -- LOVE that your family’s gifts to you are so supportive of your efforts. Your Christmas celebration sounds wonderful! I am keeping your test results in my prayers – I know you are supposed to hear this week. I must say, it is so much easier to pray for you passing your exam than to know how to pray for Andrew’s college acceptance letters – I want him to get accepted everywhere so that all his options will be open to him, but I get a bit sad every time I think of him probably being more than 10 hours away for college.

We are home now from church and Christmas celebrations at my mom's. Church was so emotional for me. I cried so many times. Just happy to be here. They also had my favorite Christmas song, which doesn't happen very often, so I was very blessed and took it as a sign from God that I was exactly where I was supposed to be, to appreciate it.

LIFE IS GOOD! Literally!

I am so glad you are here. Having suffered a health “scare” myself, I am right with you on the “LIFE IS GOOD” and treasuring every day. It is wonderful that church was so meaningful to you, even more than usual. I hope the new year brings you all good things.

I would have totally threw in the towel yesterday on my run if it was not for the vision of the princess in our near future. It took everything I had to get out there. I cant believe how quickly its coming. Gosh less than 2 months til we leave. ….

We had a lovely xmas eve last night. we went to church and my mom and dad came too. I havent gone to church with them in years since our kids were born we only ever go to sunday school....getting through the service with two young kids was just more work than what it was worth. Well during the first hymn Oh come all ye faithful I had the overcoming feeling of emotions hit me. I started crying and couldnt stop myself just thinking about how lucky I was to be standing there with my husband and wonderful boys and my parents. God is good. I never got like that in church before and it really took me by surprise. I think hearing about all your loses and the difficulty you have had just really makes me want to cherish every day with my family because you never know when things will change.

You should be so proud of yourself for getting out for your run. Your story about Christmas Eve church service got me all choked up. What a wonderful memory you will always have to treasure.

Oh, you poor thing! Are you feeling better now? I hope today sees you all well and healthy and rested.

Kathy – KUDOS to you for starting the new WW plan in the middle of the holiday foodfest! I hope you will love it and find that it is totally liveable.

Melissa – Welcome back! I hope you and Zoe had a nice Christmas and I really hope the perfect job finds you very soon.

Sorry to all I missed. It is so wonderful to read about everyone’s Christmas and know that we are blessed to be surrounded by friends and family, and especially the friends we have found here who can support us (and do) in ways our IRL friends and family may not. :grouphug:

Our Christmas was relatively quiet and low pressure. All of the presents were wrapped before Christmas Eve day except for 3 for our dog, Cali. This took a LOT of the time pressure off and it was so nice to have Friday off from work. On Christmas Eve day, Howard and I went grocery shopping and then Andrew and I made spinach balls, Jenn and I worked on lasagna, and then Howard and Andrew baked sugar cookies (from a mix). It was fun. The four of us had ham & potatoes for dinner, relaxed for the evening watching Christmas movies, and went to midnight Mass together, which was beautiful with a full choir and a brass ensemble. Truly beautiful.

Our tradition has been to come home after Mass, read the Christmas story (Gospel of Luke) and “Twas The Night Before Christmas”. Then the kids would go to bed and Howard and I take care of the tree and stockings. Well, Jenn decided that we’d do the stories and then she and Andrew would help Howard carry everything down in deference to my knee, which was sweet. Howard and I were in bed after 2 and my internal alarm woke me before 6. I stayed in bed until 6:30, showered & dressed, and made cinnamon rolls and the pancake batter. We had lots of fun with our Christmas morning traditions, including phone calls with friends and family. Then, after our breakfast, it’s nap time (Jenn and Andrew watched movies together instead which is so heart-warming to me). We had a very nice lasagna dinner and then Howard, Andrew & I went to an IMAX theater about 45 minutes away to see “TRON” which was awesome.

My answert to today’s QUOTD – Howard bought me the Pampered Chef 12 qt stock pot I wanted, when I did a PC book party with Taryn. I have been dying to have it and am happy to know I’ll be cooking in it today. He also bought me an immersion blender that I’ve wanted. And even more exciting – he gave me a very generous gift certificate to William-Sonoma!!!! And there is a “bounce-back” bonus on it so that it is worth even more than the face value. We are going shopping today with that gift card. I am hoping to find all sorts of great tools for this healthy living journey I am on.

Speaking of which, I have eaten horribly the past two days and I feel lousy for it. UGH! LOTS of water today and totally back on plan, even though there are great leftovers in the fridge. I plan to cook lots of stuff today that will be tempting, delicious healthy on-plan foods for me for the week.

I'll be back this afternoon. Can't wait to hear about everyone's new "tools". :grouphug:

Princess Vija- Te 80s Scene It was fun. DSIL won the first game and DH won the second. I guess we will have to have a rematch soon. I was just drawing blanks when I was playing.

Kathy- I just ran over to CVS to get more cold meds for the girls and more Benadryl for DD1. I also bought each of them an ornament. Not going to make it to a Hallmark store with the weather. She still keeps breaking out but seems to feel ok. If she still has the hives tomorrow we'll call the doctor though we probably won't be able to get there. Expecting 16-20 inches.

We have friends coming over at noon to watch Dr. Who and eat leftovers. They'll stay until about 3 so they don't get stuck here. DH can wear his new Dr. Who shirt I gave him.

We're watching Santa Paws now and then we'll all shower and get dressed. I got the kitchen cleaned and most of the gifts put away or at least out of the way.

We'll be eating leftover ham and beef and I'll make some other easy foods. Maybe a pizza.

QOTD: I got the EA Sports Active 2 from DH so I will start using that religiously this week. Hoping I'll only have about 5 pounds to lose. I've not exercised in about a week now due to my cold and being so busy. I also need to get drinking my water again. Too much alcohol has been consumed in the past several days.

TTFN :tigger:

The snow is here in jersey. Dh and ds's went to an early movie and should be back before it gets too bad. They went in dh's truck so no lightweight cars to worry about. I also know dh is a careful driver. It is still pretty light and I am hoping it stays that way until 1

My neice (my Goddaughter) gave me a cute set of salt and pepper shakers. Miniie and Mickey dressed as cruise directors. I have been collecting s/p shakers for years (my grnadmother also collected them) Many of mine have been from DW I have cute one shaped like the monorail.

QOTD My dh always gets me socks every year (When we were dating dh was a poor college student. He mentioned that he needed socks (tube socks for those of you old enough to know about them) I bought them for him and one of my sisters gave me a hard time that it was too personal of a gift:rotfl::rotfl: So every Christmas since then dh has given me socks. This year he gave me two types. Wool ones with padding on the soles and then some cool max summer ones. Both are going to be great for walking.

Have a healthy and happy day everyone.

Good morning, everyone! I am back to post the QOTD then I am looking forward to responding to posts.

I got a couple of pairs of exercise pants. I also got some new jeans which are a bit tight. I'll have to lose to fit into them comfortably :rolleyes1 Nick got Just Dance 2 for the Wii. We played that last night and it was quite a workout. I plan to hit weight watcher's this Wednesday night. Gotta get back before the prices go back up in January. I actually wonder if I need a points calculator or if there is an app for my Droid

I got some awesome running gear for the cold weather which I love and tried out today and it was very comfortable. My dh got me the nike +sports band and I tried that today to and loved it! I think this has given me a boost of energy...who doesnt like to try out new things.;)

We had a very nice christmas day.

Im glad your day was perfect. Ryan got the game kuponk too and we said the same thing.:lmao: I loved your SIL post....our living room is still a mess so it made me feel better.:rolleyes1. I hope you dont get called into work today and be careful in all that snow.

Our Christmas was relatively quiet and low pressure.

love your story of church and your traditions. For me thats what this holiday is all about. Im glad you enjoyed a nice relaxing day with your family. Your gifts sound great especially the GC. Have fun spending it.

cute story:lmao: I remember my dad would always wear tube socks and my mom bought him packs of them for xmas every year.:lmao: I hope you stay safe in the snow.

I went into work and got the stuff done that I needed to do. Yes kathy a manager never gets to officially take off. I know tomorrow will be nuts with this snow and I will have to make the decision of a delayed opening and then call everyone to coordinate it. Sometimes its worse having off then if I was just there.:lmao: Anyway thats life. I then came home and got my 5 mile run in. It was COLD and WINDY!!! I still feel like I have ice in my blood. I just cant warm up after I run outside. I will be freezing the rest of the day. I tried out my nike sports band and loved it. It was amazingly accurate. Im so excited to have it. I heated left overs for lunch and choose the better of the items to eat and only in small proportions. I am now heading to the grocery store to get some food. We rescheduled our trip to our friends house since we are now suppose to get 6-10 inches of snow. So it will be a relaxing day~

Afternoon everybody

I am home and relaxing while it snows like mad outside. 9+ inches so far and its not stopping anytime soon. Got into work ok and we closed at 1, I left at 12:30pm. Driving home with DH was most definitely an adventure. And what kills me is that as I was leaving at 12:30 people were STILL coming into the store to shop?!

You can't see hardly anything whether you walk or drive, a couple of vehicles stopped at points on the road. Saw a couple more slide a little bit, and 1 of the girls in a stopped vehicle in front of us motioned for us to pass them:confused: Um HELLO:headache: there is a whole line of traffic coming down in the opposite direction, and I don't know about the big-*** pickup truck but i don't really feel like needing a tow at the moment. Good God hope she never gets a license.

Took about a half hour to get home. Onslow our doggie is an unhappy soul at the moment. He tried to go out earlier and DH put the leash on him. So they got outside and to the end of the front walk and Onslow was confused enough by the snow that he turned around and came back inside:rotfl2: He has been pouting and whining ever since. He is a nutter of a doggie.

Seriously considering NOT going into work tomorrow, time will tell. And I think the remodel is postponed for at least tonight.

What an awesome gift! I hope it makes your workouts fun so they'll be something to really look forward to. Enjoy!

Dona - I hope DH and DS's got home safely. What movie did they go to see?
Your S/P shakers sound so cute! I think it is really sweet that DH continues that personal little inside joke kind of tradition with the socks. Have you had cool max socks before? If not, you are going to love them!

I hope there is a Droid app for the points calculator. If not, can you do WW mobile on your phone? There is a built in calculator in that. With the Just Dance 2 and your WW plan, you will soon be posting that those jeans fit comfortably.

I got some awesome running gear for the cold weather which I love and tried out today and it was very comfortable. My dh got me the nike +sports band and I tried that today to and loved it! I think this has given me a boost of energy...who doesnt like to try out new things.;)

Awesome gifts!! I hope you don't have to work tomorrow. :goodvibes :sunny:

Afternoon everybody

I am home and relaxing while it snows like mad outside. 9+ inches so far and its not stopping anytime soon. Got into work ok and we closed at 1, I left at 12:30pm. Driving home with DH was most definitely an adventure. And what kills me is that as I was leaving at 12:30 people were STILL coming into the store to shop?!

Glad you are home safe and sound. You have a lot of snow already. Staying home tomorrow sounds like a great idea.

I had so much fun spending my gift certificate and bonus at William-Sonoma. I got LOTS of fun stuff, including a gorgeous bamboo spatula, an apple corer, a fish turner, lots of cooking sauces, new kitchen towels, a 9x13 baking pan, a silicone basting brush, etc. etc. My favorite is a very nice 11 inch All-Clad square griddle pan (without the grilling bumps). This is going to be so wonderful for cooking casseroles, etc. on the stove. I am really looking forward to cooking this afternoon!

I hope everyone is tucked in safe and warm. We rented "Sorcerors Apprentice" and I've made holiday flavored teas for everyone. Off to relax with my family. BBL!

Hi all!

Waiting for the snow to start up again! It stopped around noon! Our company just left as we're going into a state of emergency at 3pm today so they needed to get home.

Watched Dr. Who and now we're watching the 2nd half of the Patriots game! Girls are tired. Hives seem to be settling down.

We ate nothing but junk this afternoon and then had dessert! Hoping to do some Just Dance 2 later and then I'll do EASA2 tomorrow at some point. I had two strawberry daiquiris.

Ended up ending the lives of our two blenders that we have. Thank goodness for the Magic Bullet! Guess we'll use part of our BB&B gift certificate for a new one. One started smoking and then our old Kitchen Aid literally fell apart at the blade! Hoping I can find one like they brought to our room at Disney! It was amazing! Crushed the ice really fast. It was a plastic container!

Back to watching the Patriots game!
