We're over in Maynard, not too far from you!

Congrats on the 40 pounds - that's great! I have LOTS to lose and lost 20 pounds recently with Maynard's Biggest Loser contest.

SO glad to have found this! I knew of the W.I.S.H. forums but this challenge is just what I need.....encouragement and accountability!

Looking forward to getting to know my fellow losers and having some fun!

I worked at Fowler for 2 years! I work with a girl from Maynard! Let me know if you ever want to get together and walk!

Count me in for the challenge! I have never participated in one so this may be just what I need to get in gear. :goodvibes

I had back surgery about 8 weeks ago and will be released for full activity (hopefully) this week. Can't wait to get started again! :cool1: I bought the Biggest Loser workout for my wii fit and I am ready to go!

Good luck everyone!!:thumbsup2

I had foot surgery in June and was given permission to walk right before BL8 in the fall. It will take some getting used to getting back in to exercise. It was very hard for me to get back into it in the fall after being unactive in the summer. Good luck. Any questions just ask.

I'd like to participate! I need to lose some pounds before our OBX trip in May. I've been reading about the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd. Has anyone tried this? It sounds like it would kick my butt...but that is probably a good thing. :lmao:

Hi, I would like to be a loser, too. It's time. I have about 15-20 lbs. to lose.

I have a fear of committment, but I'd like to commit now, lol.:scared1:

Peace in the new year to you all!

:welcome: to all of our new losers and our returning losers! And another big welcome to our new maintainers!

We got back at midnight on Saturday from our WDW trip after being up for 22 hours! We had a great time but are glad to be home. I think I am recovered from the time changes and travelling but it will take a bit of time to lose the vacation pounds I picked up. Thank goodness we have a new challenge starting! :thumbsup2

I will be catching up on the thread and starting the participants list tonight. Thanks to all who welcomed our new folks and kept things going while I was gone. I am looking forward to a great challenge!

Yup... it is a TOTAL butt kicker! I will try to find the thread I started after trying JM 30 Day shred for the first time. I think it will give you the right idea. And keep in mind, I had been exercising (walking, elliptical, nautilus) for over a year regularly before I even attempted the 30 Day Shred. FOUND IT... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2139186

Nice to have you back!! I hope your trip was FABULOUS. Love to hear more about it. Those vacation pounds will disappear quickly. It seems that the less time they spend ON you, the quicker they can be gone! Anyhow, glad you are home again safely...............P

Hi everybody,
I've been reading some posts and everyone here seems so supportive of each other and really helpful. I would like-no to be honest I need to join the biggest loser 9 spring challenge. I have a lot of weight to lose and I need to start now. I've had some health issues that I know can be traced back to my weight. I like having something to check in each week with my results- I need to be accountable to someone even if it is just myself. :cheer2:

I am really looking forward to this starting Jan

Welcome aboard! I'm sure the "official" welcome committee will be around soon to say hello, but I just wanted to say HI! DO you have a plan in mind for your weight loss?.................P

Since I totally sucked at the last challange (ended up weighing the same as when I started :sad2:), I would like to try to be a loser again if you will have me.

Oh, the 30 Day Shred . . . it is a challenging work out -- I am hoping to get above level 1 this challenge! :rotfl:

Thanks, it's nice to be back. I will post more about our trip in the BL8 thread. I know the vacation pounds will go away quickly. I can honestly say that I don't really think I ate anything that was worth coming home with the extra pounds -- and losing my 15 pound clippie -- so it was a lesson worth learning. If it's not fabulous, then don't bother eating it.

:welcome:, talytam! You've taken an important first step by admitting to yourself what you need to do. And you've come to the right place for accountability and support. You can do it!

Of course we will have you! You will find that many of us are veterans of multiple challenges. Think of it this way: you may not have lost, but without this challenge, you could have gained. I know that even though I haven't always been successful on Weight Watchers, but I know for a fact that I would weigh a lot more now than if I hadn't attempted at all.

Gee, let's see- I have tried so many different plans but the one I had the most success was WW a few years back. My plan this time is to focus on exercising first and then my diet. My daughter has become vegetarian so I am going to focus on eating with her more and trying some recipes that we can both enjoy. I know I've used too many excuses and that is going to stop. I have decided this is my year and I am going to take it one day at a time and if I can remember that one bad day does not mean the end of my trying.

Jessi is right, Shirley, of course we will have you. That is one of the things about our BL challenge we always welcome you back with open arms! And you may not have lost any weight but you didn't gain any and that is a good thing!

Our new clippie is here! Check it out and snag it for your very own here

It's also in one of the first posts on this thread.

Thank you corinnak for designing our clippie! :goodvibes
