Biggest Loser 9 Spring challenge -- Part 2! HERE WE ARE! :)

Good morning. I got a bonus exercise session in last night. The dad of michael's friend offered to feed him supper so I could go to the gym with the mom and take a body sculpting class with her. We got there a little early and did the elliptical, and then the class was an hour, lots of squats and hand weights, and it was fun, but I'm a little sore today. Last day of the week, and I'm in recovery today, so I'm committing to staying away from the doones again. If I write it here, I will do it. Want to see a loss tomorrow.

Graciesmom- hold that little one as much as you and she want. Before you know it, you won't be able to pick her up.

Dona- congrats on your costumes. Nice to see all your hard work appreciated. We all have those weeks, and next week will be better for you. I am doing much better this week because of the cow, so thank you.

Jude- :hug:Sorry to hear about all the stress. I hope things improve soon. Congrats on 10 # gone!!!!

Tracey- I love to have a weekend with nothing planned, but they don't happen very often. You and the exercise still amaze me. I don't think I could do 10 miles of Leslie!! You rock!!!!

Taryn- so glad you and dd had an injury free day!!

Octoberbride03- sorry about your pooch's accident, but thank you for the reminder of why I don't need a dog. ;) My son would love one, and I think about it, but we're not home all day, and I don't think it's fair, but the thought does enter my head at times.

Rose- Congrats on running 4 miles, and the 11:04 pace is awesome!! I think you should do the half with your hubby. I know what you mean about not running it all, but you'd probably be able to run most of it, and it's ok to walk some too especially if it will keep you from hurting yourself. 13 miles is 13 miles whether it's run, walked or crawled. I've taken to taking walking breaks in my running lately, and find my body is not as sore after.

Have a great day.:)

Bonus exercise...I like that. ;)

QOTD: Congratulations! You've just won a trip to WDW...one week, all expenses paid...you choose your resort! This is a dream trip, kids are excused from school and work is covered. When would you go and where would stay? (Sorry, the Castle Suite is not included. ;) )

QOTD: I would easily choose a suite at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I would go in November or February, so it wouldn't be too hot or too crowded.

When does the next BL challenge start on the DIS? It has really helped me refocus every time i have fallen. Normally, those are the times I would give up. Knowing it will be done next week is helping me push harder this week and next, so I can hopefully meet (or pass) my goal.

Thanks again for all your help and support!!

I would stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in one of the rooms that face the outdoor safari and I would choose one that had 2 seperate rooms that were connected so that after the kids go to sleep me and Daddy could connect! ;)

Its finally warming up here in Ohio and I am dying to start some outside stuff like my garden and a new flower bed and all that fun stuff. I really wanted to put a deck on the back of the house but I think we will wait. Money money money! lol

I hope you are all feeling strong today.

Good morning losers! Best of luck and a bit of :tinker:pixiedust: for you for a day filled with great and healthy choices :thumbsup2 Hope that your weigh in is peaceful and not a surprise in the morning.

I've been reading everyone's stuff this week--you are all sooooooo wonderful! You truly belong here on a board that is dedicated to those that love Disney--he really did have a gift for bringing out the magic in the simple things in life--for supporting family and magically loving times spent together. I've enjoyed as you all share your plans or completed trips... and it's great to be here on this journey - and I've been thinking this morning that even though it's not a journey to Dland or WDW (wouldn't that just be the best trip ever?!?)--with all the positives and disney dreams that are shared here along with the family feeling of support--our group here has lots of similar feelings for me as parts of a disney trip bring. Thank you so much for all you've done and shared here--you guys :rockband: !!!

QOTD - Definitely Animal Kingdom suite for me--one with a view of the animals up close and personal. We're All-Star resort kind of folks--so AKL is a definite dream :cloud9:
It would have to be a big suite--as it would be me, DH, DM, DS, DBIL, DNp, DN, DNp, DNp--and I snore--so multi rooms would be great :) so everyone can get a good sleep. Or it could just be that Kimara and I win at the same time--but since she wants Nov or Feb that won't work. It's the first week of December for me--I LOVE Disney with all the holiday decorations and holiday happenings. Though if this is a dream trip - it would be the first week of December but also have a special Food & Wine Festival combined with all the classes of the Garden Festival too... yep - that would be the ultimate WDW trip for me :)
Thanks! What a great way to start my day... disney dreams all day - can't wait to read yours.
Have a magically disney day!
:) Liz

QOTD: I think I would choose the 3 bedroom Grand Villa at Bay Lake Tower (MK view). MK is my favorite park and the BLT looks really nice.

Good morning all! :goodvibes

Yay! I have internet at home again! :cool1: And I'm getting over the stomach bug I had this week so things are looking up for me. :thumbsup2

It's hard to believe, but tomorrow starts the final week of our spring challenge. Thank you, jennz, for being our coach this week and welcome to our next coach, pjlla. You guys are the best!

Please be sure and PM those weights to LuvBaloo and COW numbers to donac tomorrow!

Congratulations to all our superstars this week and especially to our biggest loser, flipflpmom! :cool1:

And another BIG, BIG congratulations to SarahMay one reaching her 100 pound mark!:cheer2::banana::cheer2: It was less than a year ago that you started the summer challenge. You're hard work paid off! You should be so proud of yourself! :goodvibes

I will post the spring challenge sign up thread tomorrow. The challenge starts 5/28 and runs through 8/27. I have two coaching slots open the last two weeks of the challenge if anyone is interested. :) Thanks to all of you who have volunteered to coach!

Catching up on the QOTD now:

QOTD: Walking at the world...is anyone here their family fast pass runner? I am for ours! Today we're visiting the Magic Kingdom - woo hoo!! Where are you going first? What's your game plan?

DH is our family fast pass runner. He is pretty good at it and can really maximize the system. I think his personal best was fastpasses for 8 rides at DL one night last summer. If we can't use our fastpasses we try and give them to people to use -- it is kind of funny, a lot of times people don't want them or are kind of scared! :rotfl2:

One week in a grand villa at Bay Lake Towers. I would go in October so I could check out the Halloween decorations or maybe in April for Flower & Garden. We always go in the dead of winter so it would be nice to have some water park weather!

Have a great day all!

Grand Floridian. I'm trying to figure out how I can stay there in December. :rolleyes1

Hmmmm.... I guess I'd have to choose AKL with Concierge Level with Sunset or Sunrise Safari included! That's a dream of mine!

Doing well again today. 7 miles down and 3 to go. Having a WW meal for lunch after doing some shopping. I have everything for the party now except for the pizza! Going to relax awhile. I'll do the 2 mile after DD2 gets home and then I'll do a 1 mile later tonight.

Enjoy your day!

so, it looks like i'm a little late for the party :wizard: but i would love to jpin.......i'm going to WDW in september and have 10 more to go...................:banana::banana:

Welcome! We have one more week, then we'll be starting a new challenge the next! Glad to have you!

QOTD: I have no idea. Since we just became DVC members at BLT, I can't wait to stay there in our studio with a MK view. I would love the roominess of a 2bdrm, love a club level savannah view at AK sometime, something at the Beach Club and Boardwalk eventually. Dang you for saying Castle suite is out!!!!

I just realized I didn't answer my own question...:goodvibes I think I would choose the Grand Floridian concierge theme park view, a suite please. ;) We've never stayed there and probably never will. I love AKL, and thought I was one of the few but seeing so many of you choose it makes me wonder why it's the "cheapest" deluxe. Let's keep that a secret! I would also like BLT grand villa - I toured one of those last summer and they are awesome!! I would love to walk across the street into MK.

Ann let me know if you figure out a way to get into the Grand and I'll let you know if I find a way to get a few thousand a month without doing too much. ;)

I was busted by Jenn on the BL TV chit chat thread.

Yes, I have been MIA
Yes, I have been a very bad contestant
Yes, I have fallen off the wagon
No, I have not lost any more weight (shhhh, I gained 2)
No, there are no excuses why I have been MIA

Well, except this week. DH is home with pneumonia. Not making my life easy by any means.

I'm gonna go stand in the corner now.

I might just book it for 5 nights and deal with the DH later. :)

Uh, cause it's out in the middle of freakin' nowhere!?!?!?!?

Okay I was all happy and excited to see you until you do this! :rolleyes2 Grump! JUST KIDDING!!! I'm glad you're back!!!:cheer2: Sorry your dh is sick, I've heard pneumonia takes a long time to get over. And don't be so darn hard on yourself - no one else is. We all *heart* you Buffy!!!!!

Heck in that case book an extra room for me! :lmao:

OK - I know there are several of you that run marathons or halfs... but is anyone a half marathon walker? I am interested in doing this with Kimara... OK - I am planning on doing this with Kimara (she'll most likely jog - so we'll be on the same course--the WDW half in January--on the same day...)
So - if you have walked a half marathon--how did you get ready for it? The training for marathons and halfs that I've found are all for running it - and my old knees just won't do that--plus I'm still WAY over poundage for putting any part of my body through that kind of pressure...
So - any advice from you in this group would be great :) Thanks!!!

I recommend Marathoning for Mortals by John Bingham, it has a walking program in there for a 1/2, great book! Even though I've never actually walked one I've been tempted. He also has a great website, John Bingham

You can do it!!:cheer2:
